Judy's Restaurant — Restaurant in Lauterbrunnen

Food was of decent quality. Dining experience was quite uncomfortable. We had called in ahead of time and made reservations for the set menu. We arrived, were served starters and waited almost half an hour for our salad when Judith served us the main course without the salad. This is where it gets good, when we asked about the salad - Judith was short and belted that “the salad is inside you know!”.

No Judith we did not. Apparently, we were supposed to get the salad ourselves from the salad bar but was never informed to do so. Also, by this time the salad bar was closed (she opened it up for us but we ate our salad for dessert).

Not a big deal that she forgot to tell us about the salad bar but her attitude was very poor and acted like it was our fault. She did apologize after but our whole dining experience was ruined. We felt like we were intruding and uncomfortable the whole time. That is not how I want to feel as a...

Actually was turned away for dinner because she claimed they were too busy and could not serve just one person. There was 1 person sitting at the bar to eat and several other seats were open at the bar. I had walked to this restaurant and stayed in that town just to go to the restaurant, and told her this, but her cold, inhospitable attitude and unwelcoming did not let me stay to find out about the food. I had even looked online before to make reservations and the website does not offer them! This extreme lack of hospitality leads me to not recommend nor to want to patronize the place ever. Thankfully, their unwelcomeness led me to an outstanding restaurant, much closer in town, not down some long, dark road, where I had one of the best meals of my life--so I Do recommend Lecker Asia in town, which was busy, but very welcoming...

A hidden gem! We stumbled upon Judy's because we had vegans in our party. Food, service, and traditional Swiss ambience were so good that we came back for dinner multiple times. The chicken dish was totally authentic and delicious. We loved meeting the owner and seeing the pride she takes in creating a great Swiss experience for guests. Make a reservation and place your orders in advance for the best experience....
