I was craving matcha while in Wengen and searched for one nearby—this cute little café was the first to pop up! It’s a small and cozy spot, perfect for a few couples to sit in and enjoy their coffee or tea.
I tried their matcha latte and it was very subtle, definitely more on the milky side. Like most matcha lattes we’ve found in Europe, it didn’t come sweetened, so if you like it a bit sweeter, you can request syrup (just note there’s usually an extra charge).

Small menu but good quality. I had a long black (americano) and my wife got a chai latte with an espresso shot. Both were very good. I enjoyed the spice of the chai.
I ended up going back and getting an espresso with tonic later. It was a little heavy on the tonic but still good.
Wife got a piece of lemon cake and said it was very good.
They have oat milk here.

Read moreContrary to the name, the 'ToGoKaffeehaus' isn't only ToGo. Yes they do have china cups for 'tostaykaffee'. There are a handful of seats inside, a bench outside and the entire retaining wall across the street if you don't mind the elements.
The espresso was awesome, the atmosphere great, the other guests cheerful and pleasant and the proprietor Meli was delightfully capable, efficient and friendly.
