The Grill — Restaurant in Le Grand-Saconnex

I had lunch yesterday around 14:30. I asked a steak medium rare. I got it and was completely red and with blood coming out when I cut it. I showed it to the waiter and ask it medium rare again. When I got it back was over cooked and so hard that I couldn’t eat it. I ate only the French fries as side dish. When the waiter came to ask how it was I showed how hard it was and that I didn’t eat it and told me he was going to talk to the chef. Few minutes later another waitress came and made us pay the full bill without even taking off the price of the stake not eaten. I would have happily paid for the french fries eaten. I recently visited this restaurant and, unfortunately, it didn’t quite meet my expectations. One of the main issues was the clear lack of staff. Service was very slow, and it took a long time for someone to take our order and even longer for the food to arrive. The staff that were there did their best, but it was obvious they were overwhelmed.

As for the food, it was just average. Nothing particularly stood out, and some dishes lacked flavor and freshness. Overall, it felt like the place has potential, but the understaffing and mediocre food made the experience disappointing.

I hope they can improve in the future, as the atmosphere was nice and the location...

Forget this place.

For a start the drink list goes from the spirits to the non alcoholic drinks. Nothing in between. (It doesn’t take a genius to use the two pages of the drinks menu to show what’s on offer but that seems beyond the restaurant management’s imagination).

We waited 45 minutes to be told after we ordered that what we ordered was not available. At that point WE had to ask for the menu because waitress forgot to bring it at the table.

Food is just ordinary - but the prices are not!!

This is the typical place that gets customers only because of its location.
