I confess I love reviewing places I visit and enjoy, but this time I'm offering both a complaint and a compliment. I'm praising the wonderful coffee, the bread, and the croissants are magnificent! It took me three years to write this review because the bread bag says "pain paillasse" and the name of the place is different. I searched extensively for the bakery's name and address to avoid mistakes. If you live in Luzern or are passing through while visiting this bakery, you may have the displeasure of being served by an unfriendly lady who will destroy your experience. She'll make you look for the name on the map, and the bread bag in the photo. Her service is disgusting. Saturday morning, September 6th, we were served by the most arrogant person in the world. It seemed like she was being forced to sell. She was working with hatred, ignoring customers' orders, pretending not to understand English. We asked for sugar, but she persistently ignored us, acting in a furious manner, and working with hatred behind the counter. The bakery smells like dreams, it's enchanting, the smell of everything fresh, but this woman on the morning of September 6th is an invitation for you to understand that in life we will encounter bad people, even though Switzerland is a place where we live happily thanks to safety, civility, politeness, and good manners. This lady, out of the oven of hell, treated even my disabled friend badly. She only asked for sugar for her coffee, and she said no because it already had sugar. Well! The customer chooses to have their coffee with little or a lot of sugar. It's unfortunate because the bread is delicious, the croissant wonderful, the smell of the bakery builds a bridge between the past and childhood memories of going to the bakery to buy bread with my grandmother. I'm sad to find people like this working with food; hostility and arrogance are the worst things in the world. Anyone who works with food should at least be polite and serve people with kindness. Reading the other reviews I realized that this lady already treats a lot of people badly and pretends not to understand English. What morning! What service!...
Read moreThe cashier gave me a terrible gaze , no smile , kein grützi :( I felt like I a criminal in this bakery , however , I had to ask the reason why the Cashier looked at me in such a manner. She replied too many stupid tourists , then she went started talking silly in SwissGerman with her other colleague laughing . Talking bad of customers no matter where they come from or how they look like is somehow very primitive .Once again the pastry I bought was just tasteless cold in the middle , and to be frank after a few bites I threw it into the trash. Ein sehr schreckliches Einkaufserlebnis ....
Read moreThis breakfast place was okay. Staff was friendly and accomodating. We had some things from the breakfast menu: rolls, croissants, butter and jam, as well as coffee and orange juice. It was fine. Nothing special, just what one would expect for a place that serves breakfast: fresh stuff. The price was a bit of a shock, like it was for all the Swiss places we visited: 52 swiss francs for a simple breakfast for 2 adults, 2 kids. I leave it up to Swiss reviewers to classify this as cheap, moderate or expensive for this type of place, but to me it was a...
