Thai Restaurant (Shanghai Hirschengraben) — Restaurant in Lucerne

I have been shopping at this restaurant/market as I am a local student. The reviews that mentioned a woman who likes to scream is I believe the wife/owner. She likes to scream when she talks. She cant speak in a nice way. She is rude I can confirm. Also, I noticed when I shop here that as the cashier which is sometimes either husband or wife herself is that they just randomly charge whatever they chose to press on their cashier key like you never can tell if you are being overcharged for each of your items. Ive been there where one day certain vegetable is price at 4chf then same vegetable I bought another day is 5chf. This is not because of the weight Im sure. You must watch carefully what the owner, this husband n wife team, are charging. They are so fast that you dont realize you are being cheated even if only 50 cents/raps here and there. Ive caught them enough times. I dont say anything because as locals, we are not suppose to question. One has to take the energy to do this while there is a line of people behind you. But it is a fact, you can be overcharged randomly on your items except for products which has a barcode that can be scanned. Fresh ingredients dont always have this.

There is another Asian shop , a large one at the other side of town. They are friendlier. As for the food restaurant, there is Ventiane Restaurant near the large shop. Better...

The food here was amazing! We were craving Asian food and came across this hidden gem. The server was very friendly and offered to translate for us. He not only provided recommendations on the menu items, but on places to visit around Lucerne as well!

We had the duck curry and duck pad see ew, both of which were flavorful and delicious. They weren’t super spicy, but we were provided chili oil made in-house that made the dishes pop.

Do not be fooled by the exterior of a grocery store— the restaurant is behind it & was packed full of locals. We could not find the entrance to the restaurant itself, but the owner was very kind to let us in through the grocery store entrance.

We are only in the area for 3 days, but plan to come back again. If you’re in the area I would highly recommend to support this...

The experience that me and my family had gone through here was hell. The attitude towards us was so disrespectful and unprofessional. We walked all the way to eat some good 5 star Chinese food and left with an empty stomach. The waiter without even asking a party size demanded that we needed to get/order 7 different dishes for a family of 8. Then the waitress started yelling at us saying "we have the cheapest dishes in all of town for a Chinese restaurant" which is crazy, because when we looked at the menu the items were priced at a range of $15-$25.
