Terrible service and offensive behavior
I rarely post negative reviews, but unfortunately this experience deserves one.
We visited this restaurant in late August as a family group of four with a one year old child. Our starters arrived about 25mins after ordering, and the main courses came another 25mins later!
When the mains were served, the server addressed us in a passive-aggressive manner (“your two dishes”) simply because not everyone in our group ordered a main. After the meal, I gave polite feedback to the chef about the delays and service. The same server then confronted me, argued inappropriately, and even made remarks with racist undertones.
The food itself was average at best. There were flies around the table, which made the experience even less enjoyable, and we didn’t even finish our meals. On top of this, the restaurant is not family-friendly with no infant high chair available, and the overall attitude toward guests with children felt unwelcoming.
This was deeply uncomfortable and completely unacceptable. Given the long delays, the lack of courtesy, and especially the offensive behavior, I cannot recommend this restaurant. Lucerne has many wonderful dining options but sadly, this is not...
Read moreAfter arriving back from a day trip to Rigi and Pilatus, we were wanting an easy dinner relatively close to our hotel. With the reviews of Pastarazzi, we decided to try it! The menu is somewhat limited as they have 3 main starters (a meat board, bruschetta, and salad) and the pasta which was a homemade ravioli (they had 4 or so different kinds), homemade pasta, tagliatelle, and gnocchi. The pasta dishes work by you ordering at the counter for what kind of pasta you want with what sauce and toppings being an extra 3 CHF. Overall the dishes were okay and nothing to write home on but it did the job for a good dinner. We had to add a bit of salt/pepper to our tagliatelle with pesto pasta as it was somewhat bland. The bolognese we added to our homemade pasta didn’t have as much meat as we hoped but we also didn’t realize it wasn’t mixed as well since most of our meat was on the bottom. The ravioli dish with sage butter was the recommended dish by the waitress and probably our favorite one. Overall not bad if you’re wanting some Italian food while in Lucerne. This place fills up fast so if you’re wanting to make a reservation, make sure you do so if you want outdoor seating...
Read moreThe best ravioli I have ever had in my life. We ordered the special ravioli mix (default with sage butter and ham) and a tagliatelle with tomato sauce. We also got sparkling apple juice and a beer. The food was just amazing. I had ravioli before but I didn’t really enjoy it. Most of the ravioli I had tasted like plain pasta filled with cheese. However, the ravioli here in Pastarazzi had so many flavors and all of them tasted so good. The flavor was well balanced and the filling was also tasty without being too greasy and cheesy. The seasoning was right on spot. I’m guessing the balsamic vinegar was added and the sourness and the sweetness just balanced with the olive oil and the sage butter perfectly. The topping of ham and rocket leaves added more layers to the flavor and elevated this pasta to a new level. I would recommend everyone, no matter you like ravioli or not, to enjoy the best ravioli here in Pastarazzi. Oh, the staff here speak perfect English so the international visitors can enjoy their...
