Bistrot Genève — Restaurant in Meyrin

Due to storms across the European sky, almost every single flights were either cancelled or delayed for hours this evening/night. Crowds made their ways to places to sit and eat. The crew at Bistro Genève was exceptional! All super friendly and customer focused. From an item running out and replaced with a more expensive item, for one, a group of customers finding one of the fish and chips dish “too oily” thus asking for a cash refund for all 3 customers… granted with kindness and understanding… only a few examples of the kindness, friendliness, professional and caring attitude I witnessed this evening. The entire crew! from the cook at the pasta station, cooks at the grill station, the staff helping cleaning tables, and the staffers taking orders. Marie, Valentine and the all crew: well done. Quite impressive service mindset despite the hyper stressful situation of this stormy Sunday May 31 evening / night! PS: our food was of great quality and plenty. Location and set up helped relax. One thing to fix : some power outlets at high tables were not working. Power outlets were hard to come by around the airport, so fixing those could be helpful for many...

The people working here turned very unfriendly very quickly after I misunderstood how the meal deal works - which I apologized for - and wanted them to remove one item. In the middle of the transaction the person working the checkout started serving the person behind me, which resulted in me having to pay two dishes separetly with different people. They tried to charge me twice for an already over priced drink and made me feel like I was a problem for not wanting to pay for it twice. We then received the pasta after around 10 minutes but the burger took so long that we could finish the first dish and wait for 10 minutes. After I saw someone else getting a burger with a 5 minute wait, I went to ask and was told that the pager malfunctioned and that they were looking for me everywhere (while never leaving the counter). At this point the second person working there was decently friendly. Bad food.. bad service..

We had a terrible experience in here.. First, the self order machine did not have all the menu.. having no idea about that, we ordered something from the limited menu on the machine.

Then we had to wait in line with all people ordering, once our turn, I showed the lady the receipt I had from the self order machine, she took it and read my order and told the guy on the grill to cook it.. obviously the order does not go to them, or they have no idea about how this works..

The food was terrible too.. first of all, I had to be tortured watching the cook handle my food with his bare hands with no gloves.. the burger was cold!! Donno how a burger can be cold.. it was just been left from the grill, but obviously it the cook had no idea what he was doing.. the potato chips where cold and stale..

We paid 60 Swiss Francs for for food that should not be for human...
