Chez Bilia — Restaurant in Montreux

Needed a little bit of a desi fix whilst in Switzerland so found this place in Montreux. Was easy to book a few hours before as it was recommended to do so online. We were greeted well and were told we could choose where we wanted to sit. We interacted with 3 staff members who had a tendency to gather at the bar and stare which felt a little uncomfortable. The order process was simple enough. When the food arrived it was hot. Nobody came around to ask us how the food was, simply just staring. There were other groups in the restaurant but they seemed to be fixated on us but again not asking how the food was. The food itself was decent and gave you the option for spice levels. I went medium which is ok, my wife went normal and found it bland. The onion pakora was very nice. The butter chicken was cooked well and had some nice blends of flavours. Only at the end, we were asked how the food was. I think the male waiter was a little annoyed we didn't leave a tip in his body language and reluctancy to smile. It is what it is. I hope they can take this feedback on board for other 'Tourist' visitors. We will recommend this place to friends as the food was ok for an Indian in this region but again, they need to improve their approach in keeping busy and make the dining experience more enjoyable for...

We just spent our last night in Montreux with an amazingly delicious Indian meal. We ordered mutton rogan josh, butter chicken and paneer butter masala and all the gravies were finger licking . The butter naan was so fresh and yummy! Would highly recommend to people yearning for own food . The only feedback would be not to add color to butter chicken as the preparation is so tasty , it doesn’t need artificial colour and we ordered a plate of onion and lime which came at the end of the meal which was a waste.
