We visited this restaurant about a year ago. Back then, the food was good but the service was a little slow. However, our waitress was very nice and friendly, so we decided to give it another try. This time, we came around 16:00 on a Thursday. The place was completely empty, so I asked the waitress if they were open and serving food. She said yes and offered us a choice between sitting inside or outside. We chose a table inside, she gave us menus, and then walked away. We waited about 15 minutes before she came back to take our drink order. My partner had stepped out briefly, so I placed the full order: a pot of tea, two glasses of wine, and a sushi set for two. The waitress seemed confused and even asked what my partner would eat, so I explained that the sushi set was meant for two people to share. She brought the tea about 7 minutes later and the wine another 5 minutes after that. By now, it was around 16:15. But by 16:50, we still hadn’t received any food, and the waitress had not checked on us even once. When I finally asked about our order, she seemed shocked that I had even ordered with her. She even asked if I had ordered with someone else. (This was the same waitress who had specifically asked me about my partner’s food earlier.) It turned out she never entered the order into the system. Meanwhile, we had been sitting there with just drinks for almost an hour, with zero follow-up from her. At that point, I asked for the drink bill, we paid, and left. I don’t usually complain, and I work in service myself, so I understand that things can get busy. But this wasn’t a busy time — there was just our table inside and one other outside. She didn’t even check on the other guests; they had to come find her to place their order. Overall, the level of service was shockingly poor. The food might be good, but we didn’t get to find out. The ambiance is okay, though the utensils could have been cleaner. Unfortunately, the service was...
Taiwanese people are not welcome here! I have never had such a bad experience. First, the positive: the Indonesian waitress (shift manager) was very friendly and accommodating and tried to smooth things over. Our colleagues and my wife (from Taiwan) wanted to have a cozy sushi dinner together (the sushi is okay). When the waitress came, she took our order. Since my wife doesn't speak German well, I thought the Chinese waitress asked if my wife speaks Chinese. However, when she heard that my wife is from Taiwan, the waitress insulted my wife and said, "In history, Taiwan belonged to China! And now you Taiwanese people want to be independent!" She said this in Chinese, using an aggressive and condescending tone. Firstly, I don't know what problem this waitress has. We wanted to go out to eat, not to be lectured and insulted. Furthermore, my wife didn't say or do anything to be treated like that! It's outrageous to be treated like this in Switzerland! And what does my wife have to do with the political circumstances of Taiwan and China? After that, she refused to serve us anymore, and we had to get the attention of the shift manager. We explained the situation to her, and she apologized for it. She also wanted her colleague to apologize, and we could hear a heated discussion. However, she didn't come and didn't even look at us. Then, when the boss (also Chinese) came and we explained the situation, he downplayed it with a smile. Although he agreed that something like this shouldn't happen, we didn't feel taken seriously by him. We will definitely avoid this restaurant in the future; I have never experienced something like this in Switzerland. I hope that other people will also avoid such a restaurant. It should not happen that a waitress imposes personal political interests on a customer. I don't care what she thinks about it, but this waitress really didn't make our...
