Mont Blanc Caffetteria - Gelateria — Restaurant in Zug

I came here for gelato because it was indicated on Google Maps that the place is open till 22:00. It was not, it was closed. Please keep your opening times up to date on GMaps, even if it’s temporary. I drove here from 20 minutes away for nothing.

Update (answer to owner's comment). I understand you are a small business but I can't accept your reasoning. It's way faster to update opening times on GMaps then writing a note - which may work well for locals or people who are just strolling around but not for people like me who are looking for a gelateria with good reviews and promising pictures and drive there specifically for your shop.

As a customer, my only option to push businesses to keep their scheduled hours or just update it on the most used app (GMaps) to get information is to write a review. I did not review your product, since - unfortunately - I could not try it. I did review service and atmosphere with 1 star, and I believe rightfully so, since I was misled and lost almost an hour (driving and parking) because of this.

It's not the first time that I gave 1 star to a place that does not communicate well enough their temporary or permanent adjustment to advertised opening times - even places where I am a regular customer. Most of these businesses accepted my critics and improved their processes - and then I did modify my review to 5 stars.

I would have been happy to remove or modify your review as well, but I was also disappointed in your answer. A simple note like 'we'll try to keep GMaps opening times up-to-date in the future' would have been enough. I like to discover new places and I do support small businesses, but I think it's very important to keep yourself to your opening times, and if it does not work out, then inform your customers everywhere where you have a presence (Insta, FB GMaps etc.). If you did not have a presence on GMaps, I would not have found you. Accordingly, if you would like to get new customers via these apps, then please do keep it up-to-date - to avoid frustration for both sides.

Having written that, I still updated it to 3 stars in the hope that you understand my issues and will act accordingly.

The new breakfast offerings are really wonderful. We enjoyed the Continental breakfast today. The offerings are very rich, muesli with yogurt, avocado bread, omelettes, French toast with glacé, as well as coffee and juice.
