Alden Restaurant — Restaurant in Zurich

We stayed at the Alden July 6-9. Very professional and friendly staff - all requests fulfilled promptly and accurately. Originally booked a Junior Suite, but we got upgraded upon arrival to a full suite - very nice accommodations! Also appreciate that there is no nickel-and-diming - no charge for mini-bar soft drinks and snacks. My only complaint is that the hotel did not have free wifi (wifi was provided via a swisscom hotspot). Room service quality was excellent, breakfast average. Quiet, convenient location. Went to the restaurant for a lunch and was delightfully surprised. The salads were large with many options. Not the typical swiss side salad that is overpriced. The mains were quite large, so neither my colleague or I could finish although the food was very nice. The atmosphere was good and restaurant was spacious. I would not hesitate to come back. A little expensive for lunch - two salads, 2 mains and water came to just above CHF 100, but as mentioned before, portions are quite large and wouldn't need both a main...

Last Week I've been there with a friend for dinner. There's this lovely Asian looking guy at the Restaurant who serves us with excellence and motivation. The Atmosphere is very calm and really nice to dine in if your searching for a quite place. I've had the beef Tatar what was amazing. The scallops was tasty. As a main course we've got the filet of beef with a nice components. And the very tasty Apple fed pork ! Really recommend this.
