My husband and I recently stayed here for 3 nights. Here are the pros and cons:||PROS|1. Cleanliness: The hotel and our room were immaculately clean.|2. Proximity to Lake Zurich: It was 2 blocks or so to the Lake where there was a lovely Promenade, benches, scenic views of the Lake, etc.|3. Toiletries: Le Labo Bergamot which was lovely.||CONS|1. Irritating Check-In Experience: We arrived mid-afternoon and our room wasn’t ready so we were told to wait. Interestingly, a number of guests from the Middle East arrived at the same time and elbowed their way to the Front Desk. They were given rooms immediately. More kept arriving who were promptly taken care of by the Park Hyatt staff. Instead we were told to sit in the lounge and wait. There was no offer of water or anything else while waiting for our elusive room. The Front Desk staff told us that the maids kept wanting to “fix one more thing”. We finally were given room 405 looking onto an unkempt, unattractive courtyard roof. |2. Frustrating Check-Out Experience: Our minibar was full so upon arrival, we asked that it be emptied so we could put a bottle of wine in. A member of the Hyatt staff came and took everything out. Upon check-out, we were informed that we had “taken a lot of things from the Mini Bar” which was untrue and they wanted to charge us. After much discussion, they conceded that a Park Hyatt staff member rather than us had indeed removed everything from the Minbar. It is disappointing that the Park Hyatt does not keep records of what their staff does. |3. Extreme Smoking: In front of the hotel is a terrace where certain types of men congregate to chain smoke, loudly chatter and show off a parade of super expensive luxury autos. Incredibly tacky.|4. Lack of Hot Water: On evening during our stay (~ 6:30 pm), my husband had no hot water for his shower. |5. Room Design/Gadgetry: Our room was high tech with lots of bewildering gadgets. It was a challenge to simply turn off the room lights at night. The tiny closet could only accommodate one suitcase so my husband ended up having to keep his clothes on the floor.|6. Poor Bathroom Design: Our bathroom was a combo bathroom and shower room where there was no separation of the shower from the tub and towel rack. Consequently, showering entailed soaking our towels. Also, there was no ventilation vent in the bathroom.|7. Atmosphere: The Park Hyatt Zurich had a stark, soul-less feel which felt designed to impress a certain "target audience". One evening, the entire restaurant and “Onyx Bar” were entirely closed for a private party where said audience was in full attendance.| |We would...

Property itself is solid - good, walkable ocation near a major pier, solid cocktail bar, great breakfast experience, rooms are a bit dated but serviceable.

Stayed in June, globalist - called when we landed to see if we could switch twin to king bed, gave assurances over the phone that this could be accommodated but only at checkin. When we got there, told that we could not - that they were completely sold out and no other room available that night. Check-in agent said when we left he would have the room rearranged (ie beds put together, new mattress) so that it would be almost exactly like a king room. I get to room, twin beds are tiny, and crib requested too high for our toddler. At this point, I check the app and see that multiple king rooms are available. I go back to check in and request a room change as well as a new crib with lower mattress for our toddler. This time the (what appeared to be) more senior agent said there was no point changing the room, that he would ensure the beds rearranged so that it would be exactly as a king. We leave for the day and let the team know so that they can rearrange the room 6 hours later we return - room is exactly the way we left it - nothing rearranged, baby can’t be put down as the crib way too high so now we have a screaming tired toddler Go to front desk - this time Eduardo (someone who clearly has more customer service sense) profusely apologizes and immediately changes our room to a larger room with a crib, and calls to ensure a crib change. Adrian kindly comes quickly to move us out of our room, and Bimi delivers our lower-mattress crib within the hour - these guys saved the stay. I spoke with management (Claudiele) the next day, who also apologized and was kind enough to comp our ride to the train station

Overall, expected at least minimal accommodation (esp as a Globalist) at initial checkin, even the exact room with just different bed which was clearly available, and was sorely disappointed with the service received. This was made worse by the failed promises of rearranging the room and delivering an adjusted crib. Thankfully the evening crew (Eduardo, Adrian, Bimi) saved the day, but this definitely left a bad taste in my mouth. They could use some lessons from the...

Have stayed many times at this property over the years. By a wide margin, this was the worst stay. |- PH Zurich was particularly disappointing this time - quite disorganised and unreliable, which was surprising given usual Swiss standards and excellence. |- Simple requests were repeatedly missed or forgotten altogether. |- Many aspects of the room were not up to standard. The shower leaked into the bathroom, the rooms were loud (sounds easily heard from hallway or outside), the closet light could never turn off, the air conditioner barely worked. It was consistently too hot in the room. |- Staff often did not follow up on basic requests such as ice or luggage. |- Service was unusually poor and uncoordinated in genera; it seems the departments do not coordinate or communicate well together. |- 2 members of front desk staff promised to update regarding a room change; hours later, had never heard back from them. They disappeared. |- Service was largely impersonal and unfriendly, with a few key exceptions:|- Duty manager Marta at least tried to make an effort and to remedy some of the issues. She was professional and proactive. |- Breakfast staff went out of the way to be helpful. Lukas and Natalia, in particular, were excellent. Both were incredibly professional, went out of the way to help, were outstanding examples of service. |- The new members of the bellboy team seemed quite untrained and miserable and lost. The bellboy team that has been there for years were still helpful and attentive |- Overall, not a good stay and service certainly was not at the luxury or 5-star level. Room was uncomfortable and service was often...

We have recently stayed at the park Hyatt Zurich for 9 nights and my impression wasn’t the best to be fair and I will explain. On arrival we got to the reception and the receptionist named Anastasia couldn’t find our reservation, we have paid before arrival and even then took us far to long to check in. She doesn’t seem to know what she was doing. At first I thought bless her she is probably a new employee but we had more problems with her during our stay. Restaurant downstairs is pretty but dusty in the corners, service very slow and often they will mess up with your order or make you wait 45m for an egg royal while your coffee gets cold. The bedroom was lovely, nice in size and has everything you might need but again we dropped some wine in our bed sheet and we could see that little drop during our stay meaning the bed sheet wasn’t changed. We often call downstairs to request the baby's trash to be changed or to take our clothes to Laundry event that we filled the paper prior but nobody from the housekeeping team took care of that. Bell boys are never there when you arrive to park you car, and often are busy chatting away instead of helping. The location is amazing and staff generally are very polite and nice. So based on the price we pay and the 5-star experience I had else where I must confess I was a bit disappointed with the experience we had. Maybe bad luck but will make me think twice before booking here again.

As we arrived, much of the staff were present to welcome us back, including the GM Stephen - really making me and my family feel special - plus we were already checked in and straight to our rooms! While many people looked after us - Mostafa ElKady went above and beyond to accommodate our needs and small changes to our suite - which made the overall stay excellent. Most people will talk bout the amenities, spa, bikes, art, food but frankly the service and care they took with our daughter is what made it for us. Our bathroom had a special bathtub for her, cute diapers, toys, creams, special shampoo, a lovely crib to sleep in and the dining table in the room even had a baby chair! As Sophia played in the lobby among the sculptures nobody minded and often gave her a smile and encouraging wave (however, sorry she shouldn't be touching everything!). Even a young South African lady working at the hotel bar saw Sophia was getting agitated while her mother and I were eating and started entertaining Sophia - keeping her busy while we quickly ate our meals. Saum, at breakfast, always remembered our orders, and our family from previous visits, making the whole experience better. Keep it up team Hyatt - Bravo and see you soon! PS thank you for opening the lobby at 3AM and having room service make me that amazing burger so I did not have to wake up my family when I came late :)

I was on business trip, 1 day at PH Zürich. The hotel and rooms are great! Best location, 2 minutes walking distance to Bahnhofstrasse and to the lac. The reception is amazing, service and hospitality just Perfect! That’s the Park Hyatt standards! Top! Food and beverage; very disappointing! Went for dinner and few drinks with friends to Onyx bar. First the team was very unfriendly, it seems they don’t need the Business! A) we ordered few glasses rose wine, the waiter had no clue how to serve wine! He opened a new bottle, but did not change the glasses, by opening a new bottle, he did not ask for a tasting! I asked for some nuts, no napkins no spoon were served! It seems we have to use our hands to take the nuts. After asking for a spoon and some napkins, the waitress were looking stressed. Our glasses were empty, no one ask for a refill! I literally had to ask for another round. It seems there were sitting some VIP at the cone shaped wooden table, their treatment were excellent! It seems your waiters not even manager doesn’t understand how the hotel industry works. A shame! We ordered the Burger medium, it was completely overcooked and try! As I Said, i would come back for the rooms! But never again for your food and beverage. I highly suggest to look Into your service!
