Felix Bar — Restaurant in Zurich

Some of the drinks are great, some are raw as hell and some are not really balanced and would need some work and definition. Try it for yourself! Give them a chance! I do have very high bar-standards. So three stars is still respectable.

Reply to the comment: It was some month ago. I remember a bourbon based cocktail with a berry or fruity element, that tasted slightly forced. The different ingredients did clicked, but didn’t all come together. I felt that it was missing a component to bring it all together. After that I tested a bourbon classic, a true and testet formula and that was mixed beautifully! I visited occasionally over the next months and it was always an adventure. I had some great drinks and some challenging ones. But always drinkable and well mixed. But the feeling of battling flavours was a recurring theme. I admire your guts in mixing some of those raw flavours and I will give you chance...

We had an amazing cocktail workshop at Felix bar last Saturday. 2,5 half hour of pure fun, with a cool barman (Ben), who has fascinated us with the art and science of cocktail making. We were a group of 7 and had time to mix 2 cocktails per person (after a welcome cocktail by Ben) . We could mix whatever we wanted, Ben gave us suggestions based on the alcohol and taste we like. All were super delicious and all with a twist and were able to use all the fancy tools :) The bar was also cosy for a 7 pple group, the reservation and organisation was very easy and flexible. We went to Felix Bar for a cocktail workshop as a large group of 25 people, and everything was perfect. The atmosphere was great, the team was super helpful and fun, and everybody had a fantastic time. The cocktails were absolutely delicious, just like the appetizer plates served. Even though we were a big group, the staff stayed very professional and made sure everyone got the chance to mix several cocktails — even those waiting in the meantime were involved. They also organized a tasting competition, so the event ended with one winner receiving a prize, which made it even more fun and memorable.
