Dear Oh My Greek Team,

My friend and I visited your restaurant recently because we were curious to try the new Chicken Teriyaki Gyros you are offering. We had exactly 20 minutes left before catching our train, so we thought we had enough time for a quick meal. Unfortunately, the visit turned out to be quite disappointing on several levels.

First of all, it took nearly 20 minutes for our food to be prepared. We were not given the round buzzer that usually notifies customers when their food is ready, which left us standing around with empty hands and no way of knowing if or when our order was coming. After around 10 minutes, I went to the counter to ask about our order and was ignored. We waited an additional 5 to 10 minutes before finally receiving the food – but by that time, we had already missed our train.

We still tried to make the best of it and sat outside to eat. Unfortunately, the gyros didn’t meet our expectations either. The dish had barely any sauce, which made it quite dry and bland overall. While my friend’s portion was acceptable, the chicken in mine looked concerning. It appeared pink and undercooked, and the texture seemed too soft and glossy to be considered fully cooked. I asked my friend what he thought, and he wasn’t sure either. To be safe, I even uploaded a photo to ChatGPT and received confirmation that the chicken looked undercooked and “borderline safe” at best.

I went back inside to show the staff the food and share my concerns. I also wanted to let someone know that we had a very poor service experience overall. I tried to speak calmly and explain the situation, but I was met with a very defensive and almost aggressive response from the person I assume was the manager. He raised his voice, interrupted me repeatedly, and didn’t let me finish a single sentence properly. He even asked me how old I was – which I found completely inappropriate in that context – and tried to “prove” the chicken was fine by eating it in front of me. That’s not what I was asking for; I wasn’t accusing the food of being dangerous, I was simply trying to express that the quality seemed off and the service had not been acceptable.

Eventually, I did receive a refund, which I appreciate. However, the way my feedback was received made the experience much worse than it already was.

To sum it up: we missed our train, received poor service, the food quality was questionable, and the way the situation was handled by the manager was extremely unprofessional. I’m writing this not to complain for the sake of it, but because I genuinely believe your team should be aware that this kind of customer experience doesn’t reflect well on your...

Absolutely fantastic food! This place truly delivers an authentic taste of Greece, with every dish reminding me of the flavors you’d experience in the heart of Athens or on a sunny island in the Aegean. The fries are exceptional—crispy on the outside, tender on the inside, and seasoned to perfection with just the right blend of spices. They add the perfect touch of Mediterranean flavor to every bite.

The tzatziki dip is a must-try; it’s rich, creamy, and bursting with that fresh, garlicky taste that pairs so well with almost everything on the menu. And let's talk about their feta fries! They are simply out of this world, generously topped with crumbled feta that melts slightly over the hot fries, creating a savory, tangy combination that is irresistible.

Another highlight is that the prices are fair, offering great value for the quality and portion sizes you receive. You get to enjoy delicious, authentic Greek flavors without breaking the bank, making it a perfect spot for a satisfying meal that fits your budget.

The restaurant’s location is another big plus—it’s incredibly convenient to get to, situated right at the Oerlikon train station. Whether you’re a local or just passing through, it’s easy to find and makes for a perfect stop to grab a delicious bite. They even have tables set up outside their shop, creating a lovely spot to sit and enjoy your meal in the fresh air while watching the world go by. The combination of the welcoming vibe, outdoor seating, and easy accessibility makes it a great choice for a quick meal or a relaxed, flavorful dining experience. Highly recommended for anyone craving an authentic Greek...

Yesterday we really wanted something different then the usual eatery-suspects. We were super hungry and needed a quick-fix w/o reservation. I had “Oh My Greek” on my list as it just newly opened by Kalkbreite station. The service staff was exceptionally friendly, arranged a big table for us and two toddlers (highchairs will soon be available). I really appreciated the “can-do” service mentality (quite rare in this city). We ordered a Meat-Platter for 2 and a Meze as appetizer. Greek Beer & Lemonade was our choice for drinks to make it more authentic. I can really say that we fully enjoyed our food and the ambience. You could taste that the food and meat was absolutely fresh. I can absolutely recommend this place either to-stay or to-go. I will definitely have a Gyros to-go pretty soon. It has just opened and the place was packed and some queues for take-away. I really hope it maintains the quality in the future! Happy to be your guest.
