Kafi Paradiesli — Restaurant in Zurich

I called the restaurant in order to make a reservation for brunch on Saturday.

Heard it can't be done.I asked if it was because it was overbooked and heard in response that "no but we need a space without a reservation".

With all due respect what kind of policy is that?Restaurant is open,has space and doesn't to make a reservation for 4 people?

I have been living in Zurich for 8 years and going for brunch to different places very often.Never came across to such a weird attitude.

I really wanted to come to this restaurant and take my friend there for his birthday but in this case it is not...

We unexpectedly found this little gem during my family's first time visiting Switzerland. My husband still talks about the salad we got here. Both my teenage kids say they wish they could get a salad like that here at home. Wir waren heute zum Brunch dort und hatten einen schönen Aufenthalt.

Die Location ist wirklich sehr cool. Mitten im Wohnviertel gelegen findet man vor dem Eingang einen schönen Aussenbereich wo man im Sommer verweilen kann (es haben heute auch bei 5 Grad Aussentemperatur Leute draussen gesessen). Besonders ist der Kakibaum der im November immer noch viele orangene Früchte trägt. Ebenfalls kann man von der Strasse aus am Fenster Cafe to go bestellen.

Drinnen ist es wirklich sehr klein und gemütlich. Das Kafi erstreckt sich über 2 kleine Etagen in einem alten Fachwerkhaus. Es ist sehr gemütlich eingerichtet, mit alten Möbeln, einigen Pflanzen und einfach sehr sympatisch. Das Personal ist ebenfalls super freundlich gewesen und wir haben uns die ganze Zeit über super wohl gefühlt.

Wir hatten Cafe Amerikano sowie das grosse Paradies Brunch mit Gipfeli, Brot, Zopf, Käse, Aufschnitt, Birchermüsli, Konfi, Ei, Butter etc. Es hat uns super gut geschmeckt und war vollkommen ausreichend. Wir hatte jeweils noch 1 zusätzliche Scheibe Brot bestellt denn es gab nur 1 Scheibe Brot für 3 Stücke Käse und 5-6 Scheiben Aufschnitt. Es war alles sehr lecker.

Ich kann das Kafi sehr empfehlen und werde in jedem Fall...
