apoTHEKE — Restaurant in Zurich

I have been in this place before once and it was a gem (food tasted great and service was good). This was not the case yesterday - I ordered a salad and got uncooked chicken with bacon pieces which had big pieces of cold fat around it. It was very bad - I almost had to vomit. Could not eat anything… Shocking experience. Being polite I did not complain…. When I brought a full salad bowl back - the service personnel did not ask anything…. but I hope the kitchen would notice what they delivered to their customers… I don’t want to ever go back...

It's a nice place in this trendy now Scandinavian style.Food was good,excellent coffee and pretty big choice of bio drinks. I love the fact there used to be a pharmacy therefore the name apoTHEKE. We went to have breakfast. The place has good atmosphere, is neatly decorated and was nearly empty. The food was really good- in particular try the home make chocolate cake. Cappuccino was not warm enough, I must say. The service was very friendly but quite inexperienced and we had few rounds before we had all we ordered. I think the crew just need a bit more training, afterwards...
