I’m not a conflict person. But I wish I could shout at whole restaurants that you made us look like idiots when we found a gross hair in my sushi.
We ordered katsudon pork and chicken set and it was the most disgusting katsudon ever, it did have any flavour the only flavour it had the ginger that was all over the plate (in katsudon). The miso soup was also without any flavour and then I found a gross hair in my rolls, which immediately was reported to the waitress, she operatively took the dish and I said “I found a gross hair in my food, can we take his dish OUT and pay only for mine(he didn’t take a single bite of that disgusting pork substance and I took a couple bites) and get out of here, she said ok, TOOK A LOOK AT MY SUSHI WITH HAIR AND SAID OK. later she goes back with prepared takeaway food which I didn’t ask! I asked to take the dish out! Not away! And she gets us the food bill and comes back with those sushi and asks me like im impede what do I mean by “hair” the fiber of rice, and I immediately realised they took it out in the kitchen to make me look stupid. She got us the bill and eventually I was getting super anxious because of the DISRESPECT AND UNPROFESSIONALISM, because we paid for the whole ginger substance. WITH NO DISCOUNT. I DONT RECOMMEND ANYONE GO TO THIS RESTAURANT THEY WILL MAKE YOU THE IDIOT AND ruin...
Read moreWe fancied trying Ramen as we’d not experienced it before and searched Japanese restaurants and this came up with the highest stars in the area. Whilst it isn’t Ramen ( we did have noodles in soup with Sushi etc) we came across this place which is quite hidden from the tourist strip.
What a gem of a find it was! We just turned up (6:30pm) and was lucky to get seated inside as it was packed and the tables were reserved, the kind Waitress let us in and sat us down (it’s quite small so maybe book before if you can) but the food was delicious and tasty. The 39CHF noodles were filling and the waitress even recommended to not have the starters as it would be too much and a good job we took her advice as neither of us were able to finish.
At first I was thinking 39CHF for soup/noodles was expensive but it is Switzerland prices but it was so nice - totally worth it! 40-50 CHF ahead because we had a drink...
Read more📝 Nice Japanese food restaurant with very polite and friendly service in a quite relaxed setup. Prices are really competitive for the amount and quality of food you get served.
🍴 I had the donburi combo which included a big bowl of katsudon, miso soup, 4 maki rolls and a cabbage salad. Portions were generous and taste overall good although I found too much wasabi in the salad (not even sure if it was supposed to be there?): I couldn't finish the salad because of it.
📍 The restaurant is 2 minutes away from the Kunsthaus on a rather quiet street. You can either sit inside or outside and is not pretentious at all.
☝🏼 We tried to order some starters before the combo but the girl serving us recommended to first have the combo and then later decide if we wanted something more given the size of the combo itself: she was right, we couldn't order any more food! Plus points for...
