If you're looking for a phenomenal Sushi/dining experience, look no further. From the atmosphere, the decor, the staff (and by extension the service), to most importantly the food, everything here is top quality. Traditionally, people tend to stick to what they know when it comes to Japanese cuisine/Sushi restaurant. It took us a long time to choose what to have because there's so many fantastic things on the menu, but our waiter, Equiel, helped us tremendously. Equiel was exceptionally knowledgeable of the menu, had a great personality, and was wonderful in his attention to us. Thank you Equiel!
Ultimately we had what amounted to between a quarter to half of the menu and shared between us as a group, and this really gave us the opportunity to try out everything. Make no mistake, everything is fantastic here. You can't go wrong with anything. One piece of advice, stay away from the soy sauce at first. Not because it's bad, but because you simply don't need it. The food here is made in an incredibly flavorful manner where nothing more needs to be added to it. Truly not something you see very often in Sushi restaurants. One primary reason for this, is because most pieces come with Soy Sauce Pearls on them, delivering a perfect balance.
At the end of the day this place is not cheap, but in the context of Zurich, it's not crazy expensive either, and far more importantly, it's well worth it, and I'd be happy to come here and the other locations of Kai Sushi many times more in the future.
Thank you Kai sushi for a wonderful dinner and I hope to visit again soon!

Read moreThis is not a review of the restaurant, but the owners do not provide any email address to submit questions or advice, so I will make it here. I wanted to go to this place tonight but mainly for drinks. There is ZERO information on the website about the bar: is it a full bar or only limited selection of beer/wine? No bar menu offered here either. Why not say something about this part of your business too? It's a mistake. I don't feel like phoning you and shouldn't have to: that's what your website is for. Maybe I will come by for drinks anyway and if I find that the bar is not a real bar I'll tell them this should be on the website before I leave to find some place to drink that we can also eat at if the mood strikes us...As for the sushi, I've lived in Japan so although it looks great in the photos I'll be a tough customer, especially at...
Read moreWe tried a couple of Sushi restaurant in Zurich and Kai Sushi is definitely one of the top 3. Although it is not centrally located the restaurant can be easily reached by either public transportation or car. I have to admit there aren't a lot parking spots around but in worst case you can go to Sihlcity for parking. Kay Sushi offers a wide variety of delicious Sashimi, Nigiri, Uramaki, and Hosomaki. Further they have also crispy fried ones too and delightful own creations. In recent months a reservation is highly recommended as most seats are often booked around the Sushi conveyor belt. I am looking forward to dine at Kai's soon again. And by the way, they have very super...
