I visited your store 2 times now.
Positive:
-Store is cute, well-decorated -Concept of reusing mugs is very good -Design of mugs and bags also very cute -Iced Teas are good
I know you can't be fully held responsible for the waiting times, since there are rules from the government. The line in front of the store barely moved the second time I went, because the staff was very slow. That is something that should be worked on.
Also, the taste of the actual drinks is quite underwhelming for what you pay ( almost 10 francs per drink). If I'm paying 10 francs I don't only expect cute packaging, but also a good quality drink. The drinks that I had, were missing sugar. It basically tasted like water.
I've read on your previous responses that it is not your goal to make very sweet drinks and that you also shy away from putting in sugar incase it becomes too sweet. You suggested that one may give feedback on the spot and ask for more sugar. That is impossible in the current situation.
Firstly, because your store has a 3-person-In-Store-Only rule. You cannot taste your drink in store and immediately ask for more sugar, as that would slow the line down even more. As I mentioned, your staff is pretty slow and the line is very long at times.
Secondly, because you cannot leave the store and walk away and THEN return to the store to get more sugar. This also because of the long queue. You cannot simply skip the queue to get more sugar. That is extremely annoying to other customers.
Now what I'd suggest, is a system where a customer has to add the amount of sugar they'd like to have on the spot. You could make 3 levels of sweetness and then adjust it to your customers taste. Like a traffic light system.
natural sweetness, little to no sugar normal amount of sugar, normal sweetness extra sugar for customers with a sweet tooth.
That way, less people would complain about the sweetness and returning to the store would not be necessary.
I hope you take this review to heart, because I would love to return and enjoy more of...
Read moreThe second bubble tea hype came and went in Switzerland, most shops have already closed up shop again. Among the survivors, Só Tea is, in my opinion, the best one by far. Even though I have to admit that I rarely order drinks with boba anymore, just because their other options are so delicious! The boba are really good, though. They're neither overcooked nor undercooked, not soaked in the sirup for too short nor too long. Most other bubble tea shops make at least one of those mistakes. Also, the cream foam topping some of the drinks come with is great! But these days I like the fruity tea drinks best, the Honey Yuzu Green Tea being my favourite. The slight bitterness of the tea with the acidity of the lime and the sweetness of the chunky yuzu jam – it's an explosion of flavours, and I can't imagine anything more refreshing on a hot summer day! Also, try adding the lychee jelly to the non-milky teas. There's also very friendly staff, a cute interior design, and long opening hours. Go...
Read moreThis little bubble tea shop is very popular. We arrived just as the shop opened and there was already a queue forming. I had the cold Love you So Mochi tea with added tapioca. I had the drink layer by layer since I forgot to take a straw. There was a layer of kinako flour sprinkled on top of the mochi skewer, which was really nice in combination with the mochi. The mochi had a lovely consistency. I did not really enjoy the cream foam as it was slightly more bland than the foams that I am used to. The tea was not super strong. The tapioca was warm when it was placed in the cup and by the time I got to it, it was pretty gelled together. However, I was able to get them to separate by tipping the cup. The consistency of the tapioca balls is on the soft side and the flavour was not too sweet, so it was nice to chew on. I like the idea of being able to reuse the cups by bringing them...
