Have visited this place after a few recommendations by friends. And I must say, we were delighted and regret not having discovered this restaurant earlier. Unfortunately we couldn’t get to experience their hospitality due to COVID ban on restaurant dining in general. Given the courteous and friendly discussion I had with Harpreet ( the owner) , I would assume that it would not be anything short of warm, engaging and welcome. Now coming to the food part. I have tasted a few other Indian restaurants as well in Zürich. They are ok in their respect. However, if one understands the subtle melody of fragrance and taste and how it stimulates the senses, this is the place. This is the first restaurant (and the only one so far) in Zürich which uses coriander the authentic Punjabi way. It is ground to different coarse levels and added in various proportions at different stages of dish preparation. Moreover, they take special note of your specific taste requirements. I have been here twice. A must visit place if you believe that you are a connoisseur. It’s like the imaginary sparkles in the movie Ratatouille when you taste the food slowly and completely.
I wish them a good future. There is a wise saying in India. Food, when done right is the best medicine. Treat it with respect, else a day will come where your will have to eat...
Read moreI was pleasantly surprised to discover exceptional Indian cuisine right here in Zurich. Being of Indian origin, I tend to be quite discerning when it comes to Indian food, and my expectations were undoubtedly high. However, I'm thrilled to report that not only did this restaurant meet my expectations, but it actually exceeded them.
The flavors and authenticity of the dishes were truly remarkable, capturing the essence of Indian cuisine in a way that left me thoroughly impressed. The culinary experience was elevated by the fact that I found the service to be equally outstanding. The staff went above and beyond to ensure that every aspect of my dining experience was enjoyable and satisfying.
As someone who holds a critical eye toward Indian cuisine, I must admit that this restaurant not only managed to please my palate but also left me genuinely appreciative of their attention to detail. From the flavors to the service, they have truly mastered the art of delivering an exceptional dining experience. I wholeheartedly recommend this establishment to anyone seeking both remarkable Indian cuisine and exceptional...
Read moreSo we visited this restaurant upon reading the glowing reviews. When we got there we asked for table for two, to which the guy said "over there" outside rudely. Then we ordered lamb rogan josh which was sweet and mild, chicken biryani which we cannot call a biryani at all. This restaurant caters mainly for white people to their taste. Not proper indian who know the taste of authentic indian dishes. One litre of water mineral, one cobra and one chicken soup. Horrible tasting to say the least. We paid 91 francs, total waste of money, overpriced and no ambience. Customer service was zero as there was only one waiter and he also disappeared. We were made to sit outside where most of the time we were getting rid of wasps, green flies and sparrow birds.
The waiter never asked us if we were ok or needed anything. We will not recommend to anyone. Dont waste your time or money there. As for the Indians who are giving glowing reviews..dont commit a sin by misleading people. To add insult to injury the napkins were of bhagwa...
