Tillsamman — Restaurant in Zurich

I normally don't write reviews but this is such a great place that I think Zurich should know about it! Tillsamman has a modern yet warm interior with a Scandinavian touch and you can choose between cozy sofas, large 'family'-tables or a few small coffee tables outside to catch some sun. The Swedish host is super friendly and knows how to make guests feel at home. They offer great affordable lunch menus, breakfast and a range of yummy snacks and I can absolutely recommend the brunch once a month which I think beats most other brunches in town. I've been there numerous times now and was not disappointed once! They also sell a range of mainly Scandinavian specialities like licorice and knäckebröd (the real one, not the Swiss one…) which might be good to know if you're having that craving or need a nice present. Apparently you can also rent Tillsamman as an event location - they seem to have a lot of experience in the event/catering business and the furniture it completely flexible. With an impressive 4.8-star rating, Tilsamman might raise questions about whether it’s too good to be true. But, after dining multiple times, I can say it’s no exaggeration. This isn’t a case of inflated reviews; Tilsamman genuinely lives up to the high praise! The restaurant offers a refined Scandinavian fine-dining experience that’s approachable in price, especially given the quality. The dishes are beautifully balanced, showcasing the best of Scandinavian flavors with creativity and care. My favourite dish would probably be the Sill Tallrik.

But the highlight during my visits were probably the chats with the Maria and Marco, the team behind Tillsamman itself! They are always so lovely and passionate and it amazes me that they take their time to talk about cooking and other topics - it just makes the experience feel even more personal and memorable. Hence I always love coming back to this place, especially with family and friends. They have crafted something special and I sincerely hope wish them nothing...

After almost 10 years, Tillsamman remains a true gem in Zurich—one that holds countless memories and continues to create new ones for me.
