Delicious restaurant in the alley next to SOGO department store! The decoration of the store is chic but trendy. It's not like the improved or creatively Shanghai Cuisine which currently popular in Taipei city. The taste of several Shanghai dishes retains the traditional flavor. Stir-fried shredded eel is very affordable. The owner selected thick eel slices instead of eel shreds for this desh. Huadiao (花雕, Chinese yellow wine) chicken thigh roll is also recommended to taste. The dishes from this Shanghai restaurant is heavy on oil and rich in colour, which matches with the characteristic that a Shanghai cuisine should have. The sauce and condiments used are aromatic and mellow, so food is not as salty as it appears to be, lighter taste and have a slightly sweeter tone compare with other restaurant around here.
