I was planning to visit this café on my upcoming trip to Taipei because of its popularity online, but after reading a recent review from a fellow traveler, I’m honestly disappointed and reconsidering.

Apparently, the café refused service to a tourist from Malaysia simply because she didn’t have a Taiwanese phone number. No alternative options like WhatsApp, Line, or even just allowing walk-in waiting were offered. Even more shocking, other guests arriving after her were seated while she was ignored.

As someone who travels often and values inclusivity, I find this kind of policy—not accommodating international guests—extremely unwelcoming, especially for a place that benefits from social media fame and global exposure.

Hope the management rethinks how they handle foreign visitors. Taiwan is known for its friendliness, and this café shouldn’t be...

So i saw a blogger posted this place and i wanted to try, but it was kinda a trap. They charge 10% for service charge but i waited 10mins for my menu, when up to order and pay myself, not sure what service they provided other than the food.

The food was just a average. I wanted their banana cinnamon pound cake, but they didnt have it today and they still have it on their board, so i changed to the match chiffon cake. The texture was good but the flavor of matcha is very light. When the cappuccino came, it already start to deflate. The milk was not creamy and i couldnt really taste the espresso.

I’m here because of shopping in the East district of Taipei City. Then, this door caught my eyes and I decided to take a meal in here, the spaghetti is okay but didn’t taste too good enough. However, the coffee and the waffle cake is perfectly fine. I strongly recommend you to have a cup of coffee and a piece of cake to enjoy your afternoon break. Also, if the seats are available, you might want to sit outside to enjoy a cozy weather and an enjoyable moment at the East district!!! Highly...
