This place has the potential to be a true number one. Simply because of the quality of the food and the love of the detail, for example the surprisingly excellent Marmelade, the white bread, the butter, the salad or simply the possibility of having a Cortado in Taipei (rare!). It is small things like these that tell the ambition of a brunch place. However there so many things to be improved: No warm welcome by staff, you somehow have to ask permission to get a seat and find out for yourself that the menu is situated by the door and that ordering only works by QR code. The menu design is a bit confusing and the English version is not very clear. Also: no possibility to simply order an Espresso or a portion of bread. It is important to make the customer feel flexible in his orders and not to tell the customer to adapt to a stiff menu system. The beef in the beefrice is way too salty. The quality of the rice itself (again a nice detail) is very good. Coffee quality is acceptable. Summering up I think the staff might be way too overworked to meet the high ambition of that place (which adds to the general atmosphere), maybe you guys should work on that „gap“, hire more staff or train them accordingly. The waiting time is very long, which can be ok if the food is excellent. No card payment accepted.. After we left, we painfully found out that you forgot our „white Greek“ that we...
Read moreReally want to like this place but don't think I'll come here again. Lighting is really "moody" aka DARK Cheesecake (the 濃郁起司蛋糕) is the worst cheesecake I've ever paid 150ntd for. I'm literally eating cream cheese with a sad crust. I'm sorry, whoever said the cheesecake here was good does not know what cheesecake should taste like. Get something else if you must come here. Humid af. Despite the AC and the fans, this place is really humid. There are so many other cafes that are not humid, even during Taiwanese summer. If you don't like to be sticky and cold, this is not the place for you. Took about 15 minutes to get my latte. Idk about you but when you only have 10 customers in your cafe, it should not take that long.
Pros. The coffee was good (watch out my iced latte was lukewarm, had to ask the counter for more ice). The music isn't too loud. Not too many people here on a...
Read moreThis place seems pretty new in the area but the food is not just fresh and organic, it's also very good. It seems like they are very picky with their ingredient which is good and gives quality taste. Their menu had some English on it but it was mostly in Chinese but there might be a full English menu since there are books on the shelves that were English. Having said that, Chinese and English novels and non-fiction books are available for everyone to read. The environment is also very nice and authentic, perfect for breakfast dates or just hanging out in general. There is a weekend brunch menu and a weekday lunch menu. It seems like cash is the only mode of payment and they don't have a...
