Ice World — Restaurant in Da'an District

Walking through the night market in the oppressive heat (90 degrees F temp),we just had to stop here and cool ourselves down. We took the last table available, which was under a cooling unit, so that was a plus. The store looks bright, clean and cheerful. The store owners and employees are all friendly and courteous. We were leaving Taipei in 5 days but came two nights in a row since we enjoyed our delicious shaved milk ice topped with mangoes and black sesame tang yuans that much. The first night the two of us shared a bowl since the bowls are pretty big but the second night we each ordered our own-thats how much we enjoyed the ice. The ice is really fine, creamy and rich from the milk (that’s what they told me the ice was made of, but it taste more ice cream like). Dec 2022 I want to mention I only understand English and I was taken here by my Chinese-speaking relatives. This place has an interesting shaved ice option. They have the usual plain shaved ice with pick your own toppings (including various fruits). Then there's also this shaved ice where the ice is infused with flavor (this option highly recommended by the staff).

We got the strawberry infused shaved ice with red bean. Note the store has a minimum NT$90 purchase policy. The shaved ice was very good, and had a strong strawberry flavor. I definitely recommend. Would most likely...

I ordered a milk tea shaved snow ($80) with only bubbles added ($10 per extra ingredient) ($90 in total) because I can’t eat that much things at once. Besides, that also made save $20 instead of ordering the matcha shaved snow combo which costs $110. In my opinion, the shaved snow here has a bit crunchy texture and it tastes amazing! In conclusion, 10 out of 10 because of the availability of saving money by ordering less or no ingredients on the shaved snow. All the shaved snow stores I’ve been to don’t have...
