Nice Cream — Restaurant in Da'an District

We went to the gelato place after lunch as we needed to satisfy cravings of a little girl for some chocolate gelato. Been seeing the posts of Nice Cream on Instagram so I have been meaning to try it out and without disappointment the gelato was very delicious.

Personally I loved the peanut and the season special dragon fruit passion fruit flavor which not only has the delightful purple color which caught my attention but the refreshing taste is also perfect for a hot summer afternoon!

We also did try the new Sicilian pistachio but I think I have had something more intense in flavor somewhere else so it would not be my star choice compared to the ones previously mentioned.

The chocolate is very creamy and indeed very 'chocolate'. As we have tried all the flavors in the shop with some being more intense than others it is only natural that those outshine the ones with more gentle flavor. I personally like intense bold flavors but was happy to try them all in the daily selection.

The good thing is that one doesn't have to worry about being stuck with a flavor one doesn't like as one is allowed to get a tasting before making one's selection. So take your pick and choose what you like and if you can't make that decision and you are with friends, get the all day flavor and try them all!

The shop is on the smaller side with tight space for people to sit and move around but cozy enough for one to have one's ice cream before it melts.

The shop attendants are very friendly and they do take their time to explain to you - plus English is of course no problem - a pleasant afternoon dessert for sure!

I am Italian! Sono Italiana! And I want to say that here the ice-cream really tastes like Italian gelato! Qua il gelato sa davvero di gelato Italiano ed é buonissimo!

They have many tastes and they change them every week. They are also very kind and make you try every taste you want when purchasing or after purchasing the ice-cream!

I like all the tastes of ice-cream, most of all matcha, peanut, soy milk and also passion fruit! (They have very interesting tastes)

To make the ice-cream they use soy milk or and other vegan milks.

They deliver for 150 twd and for free if you purchase at least 2500 TWD of ice-cream so better buying it in the shop directly.

Prices are the double or more than the double of the prices for ice-cream in Italy but considering that it is a vegan ice-cream and it is abroad, I think it is worth paying more!

I've had their seasonal pistachio and very popular coconut gelato many times through a different vegan cafe, and I figured it was time to try their flagship store! It is worth every 5 star review you see here. The counter ladies are incredibly friendly and bilingual! They generously let you sample a lot as well ♡ We chose passionfruit sorbet and soy milk gelato which were both so excellent!! The passionfruit was such a perfect level of both tart and sweet, with real broken bits of mixed in passionfruit seeds ~ super refreshing light sorbet flavor! The soy milk was my fav, so creamy and with such a unique flavor for gelato which I've never had before- and I love soy milk so of course the flavor was so fresh and delicious for me! The waffle cone is also very crispy and delicious ♡ I really want to try their black sesame next time, and their vegan egg waffle ♡♡ the prices are higher than standard ice cream places here of course, but so so so worth it for the quality and to support such a friendly vegan local business ♡♡ so go try some already!!
