Trio Original — Restaurant in Da'an District

Never been made to feel less welcome in a bar or restaurant. Would not seat us at empty upstairs bar seats and told us all of the tables downstairs were reserved. Fine, sat at the downstairs bar. Then tried to push us into the corner to give our bar seats to another group of four that came after us also with no reservation. We declined to move but stood up and gave two stools to the other group. The other group evidently did not enjoy the corner either and they were moved to one of the tables -- the very one we asked to sit at but were told was reserved. I guess having customers is...

I asked for two martinis, 47+royal and Plymouth+royal, while the liquor is pretty nice, but the bartender did not have the skills to bring the combination to perfection. The drink is not cooled properly, and the bartender didn't taste the martinis before he served it, I find this quite unacceptable.

The drinks warmed up quick, and was rather bland. It simply lacked the subtle complexity I loved with a nicely crafted martini.

I’ve been here twice. The drinks overall are good, but second time, service downstairs was devastating to say the least. Our drinks came over 30 minutes late even for a glass of wine. I looked over and the bartender was having a TikTok session with his or her friend on video chat.

I suggest not coming unless you intend on staring at the slowly made cocktails and bartenders in the basement having fun delaying your drinks for personal fun. Not...
