Wagyu Shabu — Restaurant in Da'an District

First wanna say, if you seek food and meat! This place is really serving great ones!

But for the service and Atmosphere, its not worth at all. Shocked since it was under WangPin Company and yet giving out not pleasant experience.

I was eating at 18.30-18.40 29 October 2022 (5people), We eat the 798 price Menu.

Bad Review The second floor seat, Number 24 table. The Aircon leaked and and the water are dropping on my clothes. asked about it yet no one solve it

I know the time limit for eating is 90 minutes, and in the last minute we are trying to eat the last plate of dishes, the server with surname 黃 (his name is 黃X平) urge us and rush us to leave. We try not to waste food but he ask us to leave IMPOLITELY by saying

"Your time is up, you need to get out and we need to clean table for the next guest who are waiting".

This happened also because of Mis-time announcement. A server called Fenny told us at 20.00 that we have another 30 minutes and she ask us to order last dishes so we are ardering our last food and of course we need to eat and wait for the food to come right? and Its quite hectic since theres a lot of guests (we got our order 5-8 minutes later).

The Taiyaki they served is cold! not that recommended ! the texture become tough and chewy, hard to bite.

Good Review!!! Meat are Great!! love the selection and veggies they served! ice cream is good. Matcha jelly also nice. And the Beef Curry they serve really appetizing!

The great Server that time is Fenny! despite of the mis time announcement, I think she is really good at serving us! She describe us the menu nicely, and when I ask about the Beef Sushi, she describe us about how it made and when I ask about increasing the torched time and she gladly help us. (since the Beef sushi lack of torched fragrant). And when she is taking our last order, she also POLITELY ask us to not forget eat other food and dessert which is worth to try! Love her.

FOOD: I ordered the A5 Wagyu course 1880 + 10% service fee with the 49NT option for sukiyaki / hotpot split. The quality of meat was excellent. You can push a button on the table to call the wait-staff to order more meat. I ended up having 6 servings of various A5 wagyu along with 4 servings of other meats before I surrendered. The server also brought out a seared wagyu nigiri as an appetizer which seemed a bit wasteful on my limited stomach space.

I did not try their wagyu black curry nor did I see any customer go for it either.

SELF-SERVICE: There is a hotpot bar to grab fresh veggies and various meatballs/fishballs. They had a taro meatball that was excellent - I've never had it before but I love taro so this was perfect! The various condiments for hotpot is on the other side (but there was no sesame oil available) Drinks includes a few fountain drinks with Coke, juice, and soda water, 2 slushies (peach / winter melon with lemon), ice green tea and plum juice, as well as a coffee machine. The double espresso I had at the end of the meal was very good and strong.

DESSERT: The taiyaki dessert has to be ordered from staff and then you can fill it with a soft-serve ice cream. There were two flavors - hokkaido milk or milk tea. The taiyaki was so good that I ordered another one even though I was super stuffed already.

AMBIENCE: Because I dined alone, I was seated at a table at the end of the restaurant where the ac wasn't really circulating. The waiter brought me frozen wet napkins continuously which helped tremendously.

CONCLUSION: Although being able to gorge on A5 wagyu was excellent and the price is quite reasonable. However, I feel that A5 wagyu is so heavy that you can't eat a lot before feeling full. Next time I come back (and I definitely will) - I'll probably just order the mid-tier courses (768 or 858 NT) which has US / AUS...

We went there for my dad n aunt’s birthday and were incredibly happy. There was a big selection of all u can eat veggie, drinks n dessert bar. We had the highest level of Wagyu and it was so amazing. My personal fav was the marbled A5 Japanese Wagyu. It was melt in your mouth w amazing natural sweetness from the meat. So good!!! I was pleasantly surprised by the veggie bar cuz there were so many to choose from and the veggies were of good quality, fresh and stocked up quite frequently. The black garlic broth was really nice and flavorful, great for cooking veggies and tofu. The spicy “mala” broth wasn’t too spicy but very fragrant, making it very suitable for cooking meat and went so well w the tofu skin knots! The tofu skin knots soaked up all the goodness of the broth and tasted great. You can get a 10%off discount for your bday month, and also for ppl over 65. They had a 120ntd discount if u add them on line when I went, so we got a fair price for a great hearty meal. We also got to enjoy 3 hours of all h can eat meal time cuz of their new event for dining at 14:00! The staff was so friendly as well!
