You would be asked to opt for a type of hot tea ($30) and there were Oolong, Jasmine, and Chrysanthemum etc.
Steamed Chicken Feet in Black Bean Sauce ($140): It has always been one of my favourite dim sum of all time, for its luscious and umami taste and chewy skins. However, the bones in the feet could be a difficulty for eating.
Crab and Pork Shumai (Dumpling) ($155): The pork and shrimps inside were quite chewy and succulent and the other layer was also of great texture.
Steamed Egg Yolk Layered Cake ($110): This was my first time trying this dim sum and it tasted absolutely delightful. I loved how sweet and delicious coconut powder and egg yolk went together.
Watermelon Juice ($150): It had a fleshy and contained plenty of its seeds and tasted fresh and sweet but not the best.
In conclusion, the restaurant was less busy than I expected because I meant there was a concert held in Taipei Dome, which is opposite. In addition, the location is quite centred that it’s right by the exit 1 of the MRT station. Great and efficient service but prices are above average. Overall, it’s a 9.5 out of 10!
FYI, there’ll be 10% service charge...
Read moreThis is the best dim sum restaurant I partaked in Taipei so far. Why did it still only get three stars in my rating? It is because I had much better dim sum in other metropolis such as Hong Kong, Los Angeles, Toronto, or Vancouver. As it is, none of the better places I had been to received five stars in my book so three stars means it is quite acceptable.
Our party of four arrived around four in the afternoon and the place was empty. When we left around six, there were diners at one other table.
The fried shrimp wrap was the best of the dim sums our party ordered that day. The flat noodle with shrimp was also fairly tasty. All the other dim sums were better than the ones served in other dim sum restaurants that I visited in Taipei although that is likely a faint praise considering my earlier statement.
The one dish our party ordered, steamed chicken in lotus leaves, was subpar. The chicken was overcooked yet the flavor was so mild it bordered on flavorless.
In summary, it is a decent choice for dim sum...
Read moreThe food is good. Howwver, the auntie with short hair provides a bad service for Southeast Asia customers. I and my friends sit in the same room as other Taiwanese people but she provides the different standard and service. She is not friendly to our table at all. Every time we ask for any help, she stares at us in a very bad way. She puts every dish loudly and aggressively on our table. We have been here with Hong Kong friend before and I was impressive with food at that time. This is why I invite my Southeast Asia friends to come here. However, due to the auntie service, I won't come back again and will let other Southeast Asia friends know that this restaurant staff...
