It’s a traditional Taiwanese dessert shop that is famous for its shaved ice bowl with tapioca pearls and other various Taiwanese toppings. You can choose up to 4 from all 70 different toppings for your shaved ice, which only costs $75 per bowl. I chose tapioca pearls, condensed milk, glutinous balls (white/pink), and jelly cake (yellow). The condensed milk with the chunky ice was so delightful. The ice can get scattered and melt, which causes the taste to be waterier soon. However, it’s time for you to add some syrup from the kettle in order to make it sweet again and you can also add more ice. Simply put, it’s actually a syrupy shaved ice buffet and the portions of all the toppings are large as well. Overall, it’s a 10 out of 10, a must-go dessert shop in Taipei for sure.
Speaking of the transport, the closest MRT station is Zhongxiao Dunhua Station (Exit 3). The place got very crowded all of a sudden at 8 p.m when I was still eating (I started eating around 7:30 p.m.) The fact that the seats went from nearly empty to nearly full under 10 minutes was crazy and there wasn’t any tour group.

This is different from the “modern” shaved ice which is more fine, so keep that in mind. However for a cold dessert on a hot day, this was a great stop! If your ice melts midway, feel free to DIY top up ice/sugar syrup found at the front corner of the sitting area. Everyone clears their own bowl after finishing, very efficient system. Service was really friendly I’d give a 5 star, only comment is that know what to order as we felt our combination was a bit random, but refreshing nonetheless (the red bean was soft and sweet)!...
Read moreThe flavors from all the toppings are fresh and flavorful. But be careful of how the flavors come together if you choose your own toppings. When the topping flavors swirl together it may make the dessert really come together or kinda fall apart. Or you can ask them to put together the set toppings for you. My daughter and I really enjoyed our late night dessert! This is a super popular destination for late sweet tooths. A must for those craving the traditional Taiwanese ice desserts. FYI, they also serve hot desserts too if you are not in the mood for...
