陳宅CAFE — Restaurant in Hsinchu

This small, well decorated coffee shop combines excellent coffee and very friendly service.

There is a good range of coffee and teas including some with alcohol. I always think that it’s a good sign when they put the roaster on the menu in a coffee shop. It’s worth noting that this is a coffee first place and so the food choice is limited. The coffee I opted for was an Ethiopian Washed which was very good. I also had a light but delicious caramel pudding that seemed to be homemade

The shop odd thoughtfully decorated with nice touches like hexagonal glass coasters. I was sad to miss the Nepal photo exhibition as the photos on display in shop looked interesting.

Overall one thing that stood out was the friendly staff and warm atmosphere which along with good coffee makes this a place I’d happily return to. Whether you’re a coffee enthusiast or just looking for a cozy spot to relax, this café is well worth a visit.

Tucked in a quiet alley near Zhúlian Market, 陳宅 is all wood, warmth, and quiet thought. No clutter — just calm.

Their Ethiopian brew was clear and bright, Had the brownie — rich, tender, just the right kind of bittersweet.

Upstairs, art shifts with the seasons. The staff — gentle, attentive, offering black sugar milk when I looked unwell.

A place not loud, but lasting. The kind you don’t just visit...
