We came here before noon on a non-holiday Friday, and the atmosphere was serene and relaxing. We had two Piccolos, medium roast and SOE (some Honduran bean) medium roast with a blueberry waffle and Mandarin orange and (?) cake.
The drinks were very pleasant - I preferred my milder creamy medium roast paired with dessert and my partner liked theirs with slightly more character and a tinge of acidity.
The cake was excellent - fluffy, not too sweet, and the Mandarin orange embedded in the fluffy cream was a delightful surprise of mild, juicy tanginess without being overbearing. It did not overpower the coffee either, making it a great pairing.
The waffle's presentation was wonderful, but lacked some flavor, seeming to rely on the blueberry syrup and blueberry ice cream to provide it. I can understand how this could be intentional, but I would probably skip it and try something different should I return.
Highly recommend this spot if you have time to come early during the daytime/morning. Very nice ambience for a laid back coffee date...
