We came here because of good rating (4.2). Being the only non-asians in the room, we were sort of an attraction for the waitresses, but that was ok. As the food was ok but not impressive at all, this was supposed to be a 3-star review. E.g. sashimi was cut unusually thick (ca. 7 mm) but good. But... when the last sushi roll from our order arrived at the table and we took the first bite our opinion completely changed. The so called sushi chef put so much wasabi into the tuna roll (see picture) that not only it covered the taste of the fish but also it made it completely uneatable. I do not recommend coming...

Good quality Japanese lunch in Hualien. I went in as a solo diner on Sunday and was not crowded. I ordered the sashimi set for $300 NT, and it came out quickly. It is a lot of food for one set, but it was very delicious and fresh and nicely presented. The restaurant is calm and has lots of space. The service was friendly and prompt.
