鍋隱原創個人炭燒鍋Goin Hotpot — Restaurant in Hualien City

One of the best hotpot I've ever had hands down! I had the non spicy hotpot that came with tofu, pork, veggies, tripe and blood cubes (the last item sounds exotic but it tastes quite nice, definitely worth a try).

The soup had such a rich variety of flavours, with herbal, umami, sweet and salty rolled into one! Now imagine having the ingredients soak up all that soupy goodness and then dipping it into peanut sauce and you've got a flavour bomb delivered right to your mouth. It wasn't too oily too, which made it a refreshing yet hearty meal. The only downside was that I didn't have a second stomach to go for round 2.

Special mention goes to the owner of the shop, who very patiently explained how to place our orders and made us feel at home! This hotpot restaurant is clearly a product of love from her and it shows. I can't recommend this place enough you will...

Considered one of the top favourites places to dine in whenever I am in Hualien. Ranks amongst the highest in my books for taste, service, serving portions for hotpot!

Serving mainly beef hotpot in charcoal heated pot, the smokiness comes through in the soup that is flavoured in a mild spicy mala-ness. Can’t miss the free flowing plum drink available that complements the hotpot flavours.

Service by the lady boss is great, with patient introductions and sincere recommendations, top up of soup available upon request too.

It was my first time visiting the place and it was so good! I'm a hotpot person and it's become one of my favs now.

The beef hotpot has 3 spicy levels, spicy , less spicy, and not spicy. I ain't good at spicy so I ordered the not spicy one, and it's still very savory.

The chili soy sauce is another highlight, especially the onions, yum!
