Very charming restaurant, appropriately 18-20 seats. Loved that the waiting staff dressed in modern hip hop style, some were able to speak a small amount of English which was helpful to us.
The food was fantastic. We had salmon, calamansi, and yuzu peppers nigiri (a must have at every sushi place we go). Suki beef don, fantastic!! Similar to the gyudon but with a raw egg yolk. It was so good wish I had gotten another bowl. We also had the grilled scallops with crab and amaebi (sweet shrimp) hand roll and nigiri. I forget I’m not a huge fan of amaebi but my guy really enjoyed it. And everywhere you go if Hokkaido uni (sea urchin) nigiri is available you should try it. Very different in flavor than most uni I’ve had. Mild and slightly sweet in flavor vs many others that smell and taste like garbage.
Now onto the desserts!! We went with the recommended, caramelized matcha flan with sea salt cream and sugar floss. We hesitated at first but to our surprise it was a fabulous dessert. Not to sweet matcha flan had just enough matcha and not over powering coupled with the sea salt cream and sugar floss, chefs kiss 💋 We were also given a chocolate mousse with cream and cocoa nibs. A more decadent dessert with a slight crunch from the cocoa nibs but if you are a chocolate lover like us then you’d definitely enjoy it as well.
Total cost was about $60usd which is about $1200ntd not bad for dinner for 2...

While debating the merits of getting out of the car, I Googled 'nearby restaurants' and found Fuzi nearby, and with stellar reviews. It was our lucky night. Serendipity bought us there, but we already have made a return reservation. On a Sunday evening, having Sushi, Anthony Bourdain, would be shaking his head... until he tried the sashimi assortment, or the karage, or, omg, the caramelized salmon... he might feel he'd died and gone to heaven... Hmm. Sorry. We had a sake, Yuzu, that is citrusy and delicious. The udon dish was fine, hot broth on a semi cool rainy night. I can't complain. The fish, I can rave about. Fuzi deserves...
