Small but solid cocktail bar offering a broad selection of mostly whisky - Scottish, Taiwanese, American, Japanese, and other. Very limited selection of other liquors. Also a good selection of beer both imported and domestically produced. Staff speaks some English, and menus have English subtitles. Cash, credit card and e-wallet payments accepted. Very small - seating for perhaps 30 people between the bar and the 4-5 tables.
Come here for the whisky. A variety of price points. They also have a respectable variety of cocktails on the menu both traditional and house specialties. You'll see old favorites here but the newer additions are nearly irresistible and are NOT disappointing in the least. If you don't see it on the menu, ask the bartender. I asked for a tequila-based cocktail of some sort, and the formal menu offered nothing. He came back with a thoroughly delightful and intriguing concoction I think he invented himself.
The staff is clearly committed to their craft and love what they're doing. This is something I've noticed in several craft bars throughout Taiwan and it's a joy to enter one of these establishments. They love what they're doing and it shows. In fact, my group of four buddies ordered two rounds of drinks. Then the bartender brought out a round of craft shots for us to enjoy on the house. That kind of customer care builds very loyal customers, and I know that when I'm back in Kaosiung I'll go out of my way to visit FEWdrink again.
They also serve food, and while it looked delicious as well as beautiful neither I or anyone in my party ordered anything to eat so I won't comment on it.
The atmosphere is ideal for a whisky pub. Dim lighting and lots of wood accenting makes you feel like you could be in a pub in Ireland or London. The only reason you might not want to come to this place is if you're a big fan of some other liquor (like tequila) and prefer to find a place with a larger selection of your particular poison. Certainly no shame in that, but I'd still say stop by here and give them some love. They'll definitely go out of their way to make it...

I am a customer since day one and I’m very impressed on how they maintain such a high quality of food and friendly eating experience.
Boss always greets me in fluent English and assists me with all the choices for the night. Great place to relax with a cocktail or beer. The first floor of their new place gives off a unique cocktail-bar vibe, very...
Read moreI strongly suggest eating anywhere other than here because, once you do, you will measure all other places by it and they will be found wanting.
You will ask yourself whether you should try another place. You will not. You will say this is the twentieth time this week. You won't care.
At some point you will think that another place must have at least as good an alcohol selection. They do not.
Come at your own peril.
But, what do I know? I am just a phone which happens to...
