While most of the other Kindness Hotels are close to MRT stations, this one is a little bit further away but still within acceptable distance (10-15 minutes walk).||It's also one of the smaller hotels of that group. As a result, the food options are a little bit more limited and I thus skipped the late night supper which isn't very exciting for vegetarians (they have mushroom pork buns - why not additionally also offering vegetable buns?) but it's still worth mentioning that they have a complementary food offer at night at all.||Their breakfast, while also being smaller than at some bigger Kindness Hotels, is still well above average with several vegetarian and non-vegetarian warm options, salad, fruits, cereals and a few more things I didn't try.||Also the all-day supply of drinks, ice cream and some snacks is a big plus.||||Additional free services include laundry machines (incl detergent) and bicycle rental.||||The room I stayed in (Deluxe Double) was quite spacious and had a little corridor separated from the bedroom by sliding doors - making it very quiet at night.||Bed was comfortably hard like the typical Asian style.||The bathroom came with shower and bathtub. I had to ask for soap at the reception (that's unfortunately standard at all Kindness Hotels).||||Biggest plus of the hotel however is the amazing staff. Everyone was very friendly and welcoming, from reception to kitchen staff - and all of them way beyond the usual hotel experience. Staying there for 10 days it almost felt like a big family.||||Location info: 10-15min walk to MRT Central Park, some bus stations within 2-3 minutes walk, massage place next door, convenience store about 200m away, lots of good...
Read moreIt's one of the smaller Kindness Hotels, located about 10 minutes walk from the KRT station Central Park. The area is popular with Japanese and Korean tourists. Everything is pretty old already and might need some renovation, but everything is very clean and the bed is comfortable. I recommend the Deluxe room which features sliding doors separating entrance area and bedroom. Without them you would hear every noise from the corridor (they don't close fully though because they're not completely straight anymore, so you'll still get some noise). The room is spacious and even features a drinking water, so you can always refill your empty bottles. Breakfast is much more limited than in other Kindness hotels. They usually provide one vegetarian dish, one meat dish, rice, congee, a very basic salad buffet, boiled egg and for western choice white bread and jam. If I remember correctly, they had a few more options before the pandemic. The live cooking station is gone unfortunately and at least some fresh fruit would be nice. During the day you can always get free drinks, ice cream and some basic snacks. The late night supper isn't offered anymore. In the past it was very basic already, so for me it's not a big loss. Free laundry is still available while the free bicycle rental seems to be gone. The very friendly staff is for me the main reason to come back here. They're always friendly and make you feel welcome. Overall, it's okay for a price of NT$1200-1500 for the Deluxe room, just don't...
Read moreOne of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in! Although not luxurious, everything about the hotel was perfectly thought through and designed for the user experience. Located conveniently abiT off the main busy stretch but walking distance to lots of food and bars, a little longer walk and you would get into the main busy shopping stretch. The hotel was super thoughtful in the service and amenities they provided. There was 24hrs free coffee, tea and ice cream which was self service, a laundry room with free use of their washing machines and dryers - the staff would even help you to dry your stuff when the machine is done washing! There was a 24 hour reception which is manned by really polite and kind staff who are always there to answer your questions even at 1am! The room was well designed with all the amenities provided, from hair shampoo, conditioners, bath wash, moisturisers and even facial wash! The rooms are super clean and there was an in-room tap with reverse osmosis water for you to refill your water and boil tea with! The best part, the room also came with free breakfast which was pretty sumptuous for a simple hotel. The buffet spread of stir fried dishes, rice, porridge, soup (oh my god so good!) cereals, salads, coffee, teas and juices. The service was also really good. Unobtrusive and always polite. They are really efficient and nice. I would def stay here again...
