Had these last week after work but forgotten to review & rate till now. Ordered their pork rib rice, added braised egg & fried drumstick ala carte. Portion is generous and taste OK only nothing worth one making the trip just to eat there. Affordable and maybe they're busy coz the lady taking orders is not exactly patient nor helpful as I can't read Chinese and took a little time to ask her in Chinese verbally. After ordering and paying, when they served my food, they forgot my braised egg. When asked, the server & the counter lady who took my order look bewildered as if one blaming the other. Staple eats if one is passing by. A little further up Lingya mkt I can find better...

Nice street food! The deep fried pork chop and drumstick are both nice, a bit dry in a good way that makes the difference with other stalls. The vegetable mixed rice is of traditional flavour same as 30 years ago. Definitely a nice local place you will be interested in. If don’t know how to order, just ask the people there, never worry...

I tried their fried pork chop and drumstick. The food is good, not great. Portion is generous and prices are reasonable. The service leaves something to be desired though, for foreigners, as it was confusing how/when to order and when to pay.

很神奇，高雄人一聽到「夜上海」，都會馬上聯想到這家雞腿飯、排骨飯的便當店。 紅色三角窗，招牌很顯眼，生意一直很好，是不少在地人的口袋愛店。 老字號的夜上海是一種讓高雄人懷念的古早味，不少人一吃，就是吃了一二十年。 飯的配菜是簡單的酸菜、麻婆豆腐、高麗菜，再淋上招牌的白肉燥。 夜上海的特色就是那個白肉燥，有別於一般常見的醬油色肉燥，他鹹甜而不膩，拌上酸菜又多了份清爽。 白肉燥與麻婆豆腐淋在飯上，飯帶著濕潤感，這就是能夠大口扒飯秘密武器！ 雞腿飯 外表金黃酥脆，裡面嫩而多汁，雞腿炸的酥、脆、薄，吃起來一都不油膩。 撒上一些胡椒鹽提味，卡滋~卡滋~會吃到停不下來，不小心就默默啃完一隻雞腿。 排骨飯 無粉酥炸排骨，有點偏乾，調味不重，肉很紮實。 有些人就是喜歡這樣的嚼勁與香味，而我還是多愛雞腿飯一點。 餛飩湯 餛飩很大顆，皮也不是太薄，一碗就很有飽足感。 餛飩肉量多卻不厚，再帶點Q彈感，湯頭添加榨菜，口味微清甜，不少人也是衝著這餛飩湯來的。
