BAR GAZ — Restaurant in Kaohsiung

I am Very Impressed with this speakeasy. The eye-opening experience from entrance, cocktails, presentations and services made my short KaoHsiung stay full with great memories. No open-toes shoes allowed, but even if you happen to show up with sandals, the server would ask kindly to you to switch to their shoes. I sat by the bar and watched how the bartender makes the drinks, let me tell you, it was a show with mesmerizing experience one after another! Also, they have impressive selections on whiskey and gins so if you like those, this is your place. Overall, I think this is a MUST if you are staying in the downtown area!...

Swung by Bar Gaz tonight. You'll have to use the telephone in order to gain access to the upstairs bar. I had two drinks, Soulful House (I think?) and Mishima's Last Words. The latter drink was absolutely amazing. The hojicha-infused gin was so aromatic. I've also ordered two food items, dumplings (boiled) and salted pork. They did take a while to make, but the results were delicious. First bar that I visited when I landed in Kaohsiung, a great speakeasy place for people looking at something special to visit around the area. The bar is relatively easy to find, its right across the police station in the alley. I would recommend booking in advance to reserve your spot because it’s always busy on the weekends.
