When I asked for napkins, the boss stated they don't usually provide them. My question is how do you expect your customer to wipe their hands and mouths? Should we use the same napkin over and over again or bring our own napkins every time we go? In my opinion, a restaurant without napkins is not even qualified to call itself a "restaurant". In respond to your reply earlier, I only asked 2 times for napkins (if you called that too much). The first time was from an older lady and the second time was from you (the Croatian boss). And each time, you only gave around 8 pieces for our table, that means each person got two pieces of it since we had 8 people in our party. If you called 2 pieces of napkins too much, then tell me, what is the fair number of pieces of napkins to you?? Next, I really don't think it is appropriate to compare customer from customer, everyone is different and might have different needs as well. To many people, service, as well as how you reply to your customers' needs is equally important as the food itself! Yes, my apology, you did give three times of napkins. But after I checked with athe others, no one had asked you for more. The very last time was when you gave us the 8 pieces. Right after you said "we don't usually provide napkins", do you still think we would "dare" to ask for more??? By the way, I would appreciate if you could remove some exaggerating and untruthful statements on your Facebook. 1. I did not give you any kind of disrespectful look. 2. Did you mention that 20-30 pieces of napkins were for 8 of us? 3. You never said anything about using the restroom if necessary. 4. The meal we had in your restaurant was dinner, not lunch. That's make this straight- 1. I have never showed you a shameful face whatsoever. In fact, you are the one whose attitude made your customers uncomfortable. 2. No one ever asked the old lady for more napkins after you made yourself clear that you don't usually provide them. 3. Some people used the napkins and some didn't, what is your problem about it? 4. I really doubt how well you take criticism or advice from others. The way I see it, you do have difficult time handling the one star rating and that's why you are acting the way you are now and trying to justify your action by degrading...
Read moreI’m so lucky to visit this beautiful restaurant, enjoyed excellent authentic Croatian food and being served by wonderful people who made us feel special and welcomed us as in such an heart warming way but yet professional! We had 3 different meals and the only bad thing is that I couldn’t eat more since those 3 meals were absolutely delicious and authentic food,a perfect taste of Croatian cuisine and I highly recommend this restaurant for original experience! I specially need to recommend a sausage, chef’s recipe that deserves a special attention because it would be one of the best even in Croatia! Now I need to say that I was surprised about price…I think after eating in many restaurants here and in Taiwan in general I think that the prices are more than humble for what I payed and I believe whoever goes there will share the same opinion. So lucky to meet both owners and it’s just a matter of time before I visit this restaurant again since I’m not from Taiwan and until then I wish you both very best and looking forward to next time guys!! Najljepsa Vam hvala na posebnom...
Read moreThoroughly enjoyed my lunch here today. The Shepherd's stew is hearty and very satisfying, and probably would have been even better on a winter day. I also fell in love with the brownie, which is simply out of this world. Rich, royally chocolaty and yet not too sweet, perfectly balanced by the tartness of the sugared orange peel topping. Heavely! Calling it a humble sounding brownie is almost disrepectful. My only regret, as a solo diner, was not able to sample more dishes, to give the meal a little bit more variety and depth. Would like to thank the proprietors, Brenda and Sasha, for their warm hospitality!
Highly recommend: brownie with sugared orange peel. It's much more than a brownie:) Also Shepherd's stew, especially when you have someone to share it with or when there is some chill in the air.
Would love to try: grilled pork chop and stuffed...
