Extremely painful experience. Today we went to have ramen. Upon entering the ramen shop. Everything was good. Use the vending machine order my food. Check out. Then the waitress came out and nicely told me. How many people in my party. Which I replied two. Then she said Sir you can’t order , you have to go outside. And wait until everyone is here. Im like. The machine already took my money. And now you telling me this??

Meanwhile there was only 5’people In the Raman shop. 4 share one table and one lady behind me. There was about 8-12 free seats in the Raman shop.

Crazy staff have no clue about real life. And only follows the rule to the dot. Don’t they know they are service industry??

So we opt for take out because we want to avoid the fiasco.

Anyway. I ordered their special ramen ( upper right corner with red kanji writing ). It was blend perhaps because I ordered the light flavor, but the broth was still thick. So it very strange taste. Zero taste with flour thickens soup.

Was it amazing. Nope. Was it good. Nope. It was only okay. People love the decor and the authentic Raman vending machine. But beyond that. I don’t see any reason for returning.

*new update. *. Went to another ramen in Kaohsiung called. KANADA YA. Similar set up. Kiosk ordering. But with smarter and humane way of treating customers. You are allow to orders foods from kiosk while waiting for spouse and family to park car. Unlike Ramen Ichi. Were staffs are...

Perhaps the information wasn’t clear about not ordering until all in your party arrived, but it really upset the customer before us. There was just three present and one chair was passive aggressively removed, so when the mom arrived, the dad angrily refused to sit down. It really affected the atmosphere. In addition, this was the slowest ramen restaurant I’ve ever been to. Ramen is fast food and it took over a half hour for two bowls with 4 employees and a not full restaurant. Originally I had wanted rice which is common for a ramen restaurant but at 12:30, they didn’t have rice made. It wasn’t until 1:00 that rice was finished, but it was too late to change my order.
