Old Window Oceanview Restaurant — Restaurant in New Taipei

I tried one of the set menus. It was 'French grilled salmon', nothing French about it. A thin piece of salmon was served, and it tasted bland. That's OK as I didn't expect much from a restaurant in an overly tourity place, and I was kind of glad they accepted credit card payments.

What I can't get over is a latte costs NTD 220, which is roughly 11 Australia dollar. That was the most expensive plain latte I have ever had, and I've been to Switzerland! And it tasted like coffee flavoured milk so it wasn't worth the money.

Place is amazing, a Gorgeus view towards the Jing jang sea and surrounding mountains, food was great we had the sichuan beef stew and steamed beef stew during the night and during the morning chocolate waffles and coffee. The personnel are really kind and friendly and really nice. Atmosphire is really good too. The fact that you have the view and is separated from the old street combined with soothing music. Makes this place a most stop if you are staying Jioufen.

The views here are spectacular, overlooking the bay and harbor near the city of Keelung. The restaurant has a terrace so that you can enjoy the food and the view at the same time, but considering Taiwan's hot summer, sitting outside is not a wise choice. The food here is all creative Taiwanese dishes with a strong taste. If you are used to the plain taste, you can ask them to adjust it for you.
