Le Flam 樂芙坊 — Restaurant in Shilin District

The family had a wonderful lunch at LE FLAM 樂芙坊 RESTAURANT in Shihlin. It is run by two brothers from France l. If you enjoy platters of cold cuts, cheeses, tartines, flams, knepfle, chicken cordon bleu, creme brulee, etc., then this is a nice place. But, if you want heavier stuff like steak, lamb, etc., forget it. The service was okay, the food was good, reasonably priced, but the place really needs a decor update, perhaps some light music (there were none the whole time we were there), as well as stronger air-conditioning (the waitress apologized that the air-conditioning was broken and working at maximum capacity!). Parking is across the street at Bailing...

I had a great time at Le Flam. My friend introduced this place to me and told me the food is very traditional of Alsace, France. The interior of the restaurant is also decorated with traditional handicrafts from this region of France. You have to try the flatbread, or “flam”, for which the restaurant gets its namesake. The flatbreads have a very thin crust and after ordering 3 different kinds, can say that every flavor is really delicious! Definitely recommend you...

Great little French place. Not your usual French, Alsace area, and so good. They are from and they know what they are doing. Try a flam, and if you have never had one just get the basic to experience it! We love the chicken cordon blue here with knepfle (like pasta) so yummy. And the prices are great. Especially love that they don’t close in the afternoons! And the rose wine is so nice...
