Back at IKKI for delicious cheap seafood. Their highlights include the huge clams in their clam soup, the never-ending tuna jaw (there’s so much meat on that thing), their salmon and roe don (the rice is okay, but shared between three it’s worth it), and their 100ntd for 6 grilled oysters deal! (We ended up getting 3 plates).

We also love the casual atmosphere, which doesn’t get as loud as other izakayas. You can see all the fresh seafood in the front of the store, and the open kitchen offers some action.

They use rubber chickens as a way to call the servers but nobody uses them (thankfully as the noise is annoying), but the servers are still just as attentive and extra friendly.

Around 8 or 9pm they might have games which allow you to win free shots, auction for even cheaper seafood, and more.

As a foreigner i highly recommend this local japanese restaurant and bar. Good to come by yourself to chill or with your group of friends. Has good music vibes, cool japanese themed decorations, great tapas japanese snacks, amazing alcohol drink for a super affordable price. The manager Alan is super handsome and made us feel like this was our second home. The employee staff are also super sociable and will explain you throughout the menu if you got any questions.
