The restaurant has been recommended by the Michelin Bib Gourmand for two years, seeking to interpret local cuisine and history with Taiwanese ingredients🌟 It's a converted historic warehouse. The first floor is a food supermarket where you can buy selected Taiwanese food. The second floor is the restaurant. The menu is very special, hand-drawn main dishes are categorized according to the development history of Taiwanese food. Also, they offer a variety of special cocktails, so you can enjoy a drink🍷 We ordered "牛滷香拼盤"、"牛頰牛肉麵"、"椒麻桂丁雞"、"刈包", the most recommended are "牛頰牛肉麵", "椒麻桂丁雞". "牛頰牛肉麵" is a pot of soup that the waiter pours in after the meal. The cheeks are very soft and delicious. Our favorite dish is "帶骨牛小排麵", but was sold out when we went😭 "椒麻桂丁雞" the chicken is from Taiwan. The meat is fresh and juicy and the outside is crispy. I like this dish very...
Read moreOne Tea one Tile is a refurbished grainary that's kept a lot of it's original charm. Exposed ceiling beams, metal guardrails and concrete floors, it's rather big with two floors. Their food is mild with subtle flavors to compliment the tea like bitter greens, crispy onions, and fragrant oil. We tried the tea oil noodles and the fried red scallion and lard rice, though there might have been too much oil in the noodles, despite their name. The tea salt you get with the fries is very fragrant and aromatic, and it's made with a very sweet tea with almost vanilla notes. It's not for everyone but they do provide ketchup, a reliable fry pairing. Their tie guan yin with white peach is slightly citrusy with white peach chunks. With an even sweetness it's very refreshing. Their afternoon tea set is very refreshing and the little bites are tasty. It's meant for two people and you can only start ordering it at 1:30. Meanwhile, some food options can't be ordered from 1:30 to about 5:00 as their menu changes. Overall I find that One Tea One Tile is nice for a relaxing casual afternoon with friends and has plenty of drink options to satisfy many...
Read moreI made an appointment at 2pm. I went in and they told me there's no meals, only snacks and tea at this time because the kitchen is closed. I said ok. I ordered everything under snacks and tea in the QR code. A few minutes later, they told me kitchen is closed, they don't have these snacks like scallion pancake and buns. I said ok, so I ordered sweet soup for dessert under snacks. They came back and told me again they don't have it at this time. I'm like.......... Ok, just tea then. I guess the only snacks they have is macron and cake. They really should tell me what kind of snacks they have available because I don't know which snack is available. Also, they should update their QR code menu and their website. If I cannot order at this time, it should show on their menu and ordering menu. It's not a cheap place to drink tea plus 10% service charge. The least they can do is update their website and ordering menu. The tea I had was good but the experience that I was expecting wasn't there. If you want to order a whole chicken, you have to call them ahead of time to order it. I'm a tourist coming to Taiwan and I can only rely on...
