AMBASSADOR Hotel Taipei — Hotel in Taipei

Had a small size wedding at this old school hotel, thought it had its reputation, but one day before the wedding, the sales screwed up some confirmed the floral decor without even notifying us. When we found out about it, it was 6pm,and the wedding was set at next day for lunch.non of the staff seem to care or taking any responsibilities. So I had to drive to the floral market at pay out of pocket and deliver the flowers back for our own decor. The concierge service was horrible as well, when requesting a luggage cart, we waited for 40 minutes with several call request from the room. Food was untasteful and table service was done by bunch of young kids who spilled some hot soup on few tables with babies present (25 tables total). late check out at the hotel was rejected and had to pay half day rate ($100 USD.)for it. By the way, the wedding lunch wasnt done at 3:30pm,started serving at 12:20. Overall, the hotel staff were lack of knowledge and manners. Even we won't plan on revisit, but this is how the once in a life time event was held at this few decades old hotel with unpleasant service. Consider this post as a friendly warning to anyone plan.on holding up any events...

Only stays there if you get the executive floor rooms (very nice). Otherwise you will feel like you're in motel 6. Old worn out carpet which I won't even let my bare feet touch, anciently furnished with ugly marble table & vanity + tiles. There was iron/shoe print on 1 of the chair. They offer free laundry up to NT330 per night (can use all together). It's really busy hotel (and always full) so they can't check you in until after noon (if you're lucky). Good thing is they allow you to shower etc at the fitness center which was nicely furnished with your basic necessity, like toothbrush, combs, towels, shower cap, shampoo, body soap, lotion, Neutrogena skin care (make up remover, face wash, toner, moisturizer) and scale. Front desk staff service was FIRST CLASS! My issues were resolved promptly and professionally.

Outside Delivered food were always brought up within 5- 10 minutes upon arrival.

I kept getting woken up at 3:30 AM by someone who slammed their closet door, and since we couldn’t quite figure out who caused it, they managed to help me move to another room in a quieter area despite very limited rooms at the time.

(Walk-in closet doors that slide on a roller banged loudly if guests were not gentle when opening or closing. Installation of soft close mechanism would resolve this issue)
