apron cafe — Restaurant in Songshan District

Originally wanted to visit a matcha famous cafe nearby but was packed and we had to wait - so found this place nearby. Wish we waited at the original cafe . Here’s why:

Nice decor, and pretty place. At first instance, the waiter passionately introduced her desserts. The result was hit and miss.

The coffee tasted quite diluted and could barely taste it. One of the worst 160nt coffees I’ve had - thoroughly disappointed. The Earl Grey fig cake was alright. Fig was a bit mushy and not fresh. Cake itself was after a few bites quite tiresome.

What made matters worse was the cafe forgot to serve us the cake - and we had to remind them an hour into our sitting.

They reluctantly provided a average tasting orange cake muffin (we didn’t really want it ) for their mistake.

Summary:

Decor: lots of greens and nice paint scheme. Cute and good place to chill and relax

Drinks: Extremely below average, particularly the coffee. Akin to warm water with cinnamon sprinkled in it and milk added. Slight coffee flavor

Dessert: Pretty average - not fresh and tiresome. Fig earl grey cake was so so. Presentation okay. Fig mushy and not sweet, not fresh.

Orange muffin: candied orange was hard to chew and difficult to eat the muffin. Dry.

Service:

Initially passionate , but forgot our order and reluctantly and an hour in, we had to remind. They forgot what we even ordered and they gave a small orange muffin after we expressed our displeasure. We didn’t want anymore to eat yet ate it anyway, was dry and hard to chew the candied orange.

Service unprofessional, taste - average - , coffee terrible. Decor: leafy, cosy and warm.

this Cafe is a gem. The drinks are well made. The cakes are amazing, and the staff and owner are friendly, knowledgeable, and take pride in their service.

I always go here if I have a few hours I need to waste or want some delicious cake.

因為看到之前粉絲團有恐龍的造型蛋糕跟其他款式都覺得很不錯，所以訂了一款企鵝造型蛋糕，跟店家討論時表明因為小孩很喜歡企鵝所以想設計跟企鵝相關的作品，然後有雪地的場景。

沒想到我請先生取貨時，店家拍照回傳看到的是這樣的作品，感到與原本下訂時溝通討論的落差非常的大。於是我回覆了訊息說請問：怎麼感覺只是奶油蛋糕上面多企鵝裝飾？不像之前討論的造型蛋糕啊？也沒有場景。

店家這時候馬上打了電話過來，一開口什麼您好都沒有，只說請問你現在需要什麼補償？我覺得很不解？我表示我沒有要補償，我只是詢問這跟我們當初討論似乎落差很大？店家說：蛋糕上面有雪道跟企鵝在玩。

因為我真的看不出哪裡有雪道，我回覆這跟我們原本設計的造型實在落差太大。店家這時則堅持說我的蛋糕基本款就是$1,480。但我認為現在並不是價錢的問題，是今天小孩生日我希望她拿到特別不一樣的蛋糕，但我在這蛋糕上面看不到有任何設計，只有我指定的企鵝公仔。請問大家覺得這個蛋糕在「設計上」有價值$1,680？

雖然店家最後說我知道你們住很近，希望把蛋糕拿回來補救補償，但這已經不是補償的問題，我不知道原來我只是想表達蛋糕跟我們原本討論落差這麼大之外，老闆或許不能接受任何批評與回饋？

最後，請各位在訂蛋糕前先三思。今天店家要求我11:30準時取貨，我請先生跟小孩提前過去，11:27先生打來說店家沒開，我告知先生店家說因為今天公休，等她一下11:35會到。結果11:37我傳給店家訊息說先生在外面，她說再等一下下。直到11:42先生才傳訊息說店家終於接電話了。而店家打電話在討論補償事宜時竟然敢大剌剌說她早就在店裡面。

但很不巧先生跟我說他親眼看到，妳去拿了信件後才進去開門，那為何剛剛在電話中你敢跟我說你在店裡面不知道他們就在外面等，當你要說一個謊也請想好下一個謊的理由。

而最後店家或許發現這位客人不是很好應付，一個$1,680的蛋糕當下沒有開收據，最後人都離開了才傳訊息說收據在店裡要寄過來？請問12:11才開立發票是什麼意思？原本不就是當下應該開給客人的發票卻沒有開？還是發現客人不好搞趕快補開是嗎？ 後來發現版上也有人留言沒有開發票請問什麼意思？代表這個不是第一次了吧？

再請要下單的客人多注意呀！除了蛋糕設計落差很大之外店家還會說謊、漏開發票，或許原本就不差我一個客人，但我只是想表達這樣的店希望你...
