Banco Bade branch is in the middle of a busy area. The first thing one notices when entering is the wood-fired oven, which is a must for an authentic Italian pizza experience. The menu is varied but does not focus solely on pizza, of which only a few types are available. There are also salads, appetizers, freshly-made pasta, a staple at Banco, wine selection, drinks and desserts. The pizza they serve is the typical Napoli style (if it is a little burned, be glad, it means it was cooked in an authentic oven), a little soft, and thicker than the average NY style pizza. The ordering system is efficient, but unfortunately only in Chinese and not also in English, which may be a slight inconvenience for the non-tech savvy out there. They should really make it bilingual! Overall, the pizza was good and well cooked. The staff is professional, friendly and speaks English, which is a major bonus. Since this particular branch is especially busy on weekends, the waiting staff must juggle among several tables at once, but never once would one notice delays or lack of professionalism. They are just perfect. Unfortunately, this branch is also a little small and confined in terms of space, and would definitely benefit from an enlargement of the patron area. The price is reasonable for Taipei City. Definitely...
Read moreBANCO Pizza is known for its authentic Neapolitan-style pizzas. Our company, located next door, often places large orders from them. The pizza crust is crispy on the outside, soft and elastic on the inside, and toppings stay intact when held—rolling it up enhances the flavor. The crust is fragrant, with the prosciutto pizza offering a refreshing balance of Parma cheese and tomato acidity, while the double sausage and triple cheese pizza delivers a rich and bold taste. The handmade pasta has a chewy texture but tends to be slightly salty. For desserts, the pudding stands out with its delicate texture and bittersweet balance, while the Basque cheesecake, though dense with visible vanilla seeds, is fairly average. The tiramisu, infused with Cointreau, has a pleasant orange liqueur aroma, but the coffee is ordinary. Overall, the pizzas are impressive, though some dishes are overly salty. Additionally, during a team gathering, several colleagues experienced diarrhea afterward. While it’s unclear if the desserts caused it, it’s advisable to notify the restaurant if any issues arise. The signature pizzas are highly recommended and...
Read moreIf you're a foreigner, I do not recommend you coming to this place. Staff are super rude and needs training. My tw cellphone doesn't allow me to send text so I always hand write my info when I check into places. I informed the female staff about this and she turned into panic mode and her voice turned super high pitched and stated that they don't allow guest to write and they only have check in via text. I tried to explain my situation and she doesn't even listen and basically repeat the same thing in panic mode again. And "politely" kick me out of there.
I definitely felt that the staff could have handled the situation better. Her mannerisms made me felt like I was a covid pt walking in without mask ( Im negative and wearing a mask)
I understand COVID number is going up but girl you could have handled the...
