做咖啡 hecho cafe & wine — Restaurant in Taichung

There were some good elements of this restaurant, but for a place that charges a 10% service fee on every bill and has these kind of prices, I expected more in terms of customer service.

The atmosphere is lovely, the food is tasty-- but in my opinion, the food is overpriced. It's not bad, but I ordered one drink and one plate of pasta and my bill was $495 NT.

I had a reservation for 2 at 10:30. I arrived to the restaurant at 10:27 and went to check in. The hostess told me they weren't open yet and to go wait. I'm not sure why you would take reservations for 10:30 if you're not open and able to seat people by that time, and the hostess was just a bit dismissive, not very kind or helpful. Fine, I went to wait the 3 minutes and then the hostess came back and asked me for my name and phone number. I gave it, she couldn't seem to find our reservation, and then she asked my friend for her phone number, which didn't make sense since it was a reservation under my name.

Finally, she turns the screen of the tablet to me and points to the only English name to ask if that was me. Yes, the only English-name does belong to me, the only foreign girl there with a reservation for 2 people at 10:30. It just felt like she wasn't thinking very hard or trying to be helpful. You really can't figure out that is me? I told her my name.

Then, they take us upstairs to be seated-- the entire restaurant is empty, and there were 2 other parties being seated as well (another pair, and a larger group of 5). They put us all in one corner of the restaurant directly next to one another. It made no sense to me-- couldn't you at least have like one table in between groups when the restaurant is empty? It was uncomfortable and loud, and I can understand that when a restaurant is full but we were literally the only 3 parties and they crammed us all into a corner like sardines. Restaurants in my opinion should take the comfort of their patrons into account-- spread us out a little and then fill in the gaps as more patrons arrive.

The last thing that just rubbed me the wrong way was near the end of our meal. There is a 2-hour time limit for eating, which I have no issue with-- but a waiter came over before our time was up to tell us we needed to leave since our time was up. I know we weren't seated until AFTER 10:30 (since they wouldn't even look up my reservation until 10:30), so why was he hurrying us along at 12:25? There were open tables and no one waiting outside, so it just came off as rude.

For me, the staff at this establishment needs a lot more training in customer service, and when you're charging a service fee on top of higher prices, the customer service should be at a higher level than what I experienced. I personally won't come...

The waitress and waiters are generously just rude. Food tastes average and not worth the price. We had 5 adults and 1 toddler the second time we visited. They assigned high chair seats for us, after we were there waited for 30min. When we went up to the 2nd floor, what we saw was ridiculous. The toddler’s seat can’t reach the table neither having its own table. The waiter and waitress insisted there were no available seats when we were seeing plenty of empty tables around. We kindly asked if we can switch seats or our group can be separated into two tables as well. They insisted there’s no way to change the seats and we can leave if we don’t like our table. Seriously, it’s a place doesn’t appreciate customers. No way we going...

雖然是知名高評價的咖啡廳 食物自然讓我非常期待 本次用餐 覺得食物的口感與高評價有落差 飲品的部分 店家回覆都是去冰 天氣熱 飲品半涼真的沒有很喜歡

做咖啡位於勤美綠園道旁的小巷 因為巷弄狹小 開車或是騎車來的朋友還是乖乖去停附近路上車格或是收費停車場

餐廳空間 餐桌距離很寬敞 冷氣也強 二樓有一個戶外半開放用餐空間 可以欣賞台中高樓 晚間燈火輝煌的景色 怕熱 怕蟲的朋友就不勉強

進到餐廳 工作人員會引導入座 並給予菜單 點完餐後到櫃檯買單即可 這裡的水 醬料 還有其他分裝往盤 紙巾 都要自己拿取呦 比較可惜 帶位的店員都沒有告知 醬料的部分 添加完後要拿回 不要影響其他人使用

本次用餐點了：瑪格麗特比薩 烤雞沙拉 雞肉奶油燉飯 白酒蛤蜊義大利麵 炸物拼盤 其中兩個主餐升級成套餐 有附上濃湯 麵包 還有140飲品 我們點了水果茶 做珍珠奶茶 餐食的個人評價如下： 1.烤雞沙拉：沙拉的蔬菜很新鮮 烤雞也很嫩 這樣一到餐點是當天評價最高的 個人非常推薦 2.雞肉奶油燉飯：飯的口感偏義大利的方式 就是米心偏硬 這個就是個人主觀的感覺 口味算是普通 不會特別驚喜的感覺 3.白酒蛤蜊義大利麵：廚師的白酒下手蠻重的 提出蛤蜊的鮮味 但是麵體的味道就酒味及苦味較重 美沒有想像中清炒的蒜香 蛤蜊很新鮮 算是加分 但整體也是 普通的評價 4.瑪格莉特比薩：是方型的比薩 味道吃起來還好 總覺得番茄味道跳不太出來 整體口味吃起來偏清淡 不太像自己印象中的味道 5.炸物拼盤：包括炸雞 炸雞翅 洋蔥圈及薯條 整體來說炸雞翅 炸雞 都算是好吃的 薯條的脆度令人是失望 洋蔥圈表現中規中矩 店家搭配的沾醬 也還算可以 可惜炸物表現毀譽參半 同行友人愛吃薯條 吃了兩三根 直接pass 6.套餐的湯品 麵包：店家感覺很用心在麵包上的調味 可惜 還是不太合個人口味 湯品的部分算是合格 7飲品的部分：水果茶比較沒有味道 珍珠奶茶的口味個人非常失望 完全慘輸給外面手搖飲店 不過珍珠的口感還算不錯 還是要小小抱怨 為何不讓客人選擇加冰塊？！

整體而言 不推薦的店家 我們蠻多東西沒有吃完的 不太合我們的口味 看著高評價 覺得與期待有落差 純粹個人感想...
