BeanGood Café 冰穀咖啡草悟店（實際營業時間依店家FB&IG公告為主） — Restaurant in Taichung

We had a a really wonderful and memorable experience in this cafe! We initially dropped by just to buy some coffee beans but was treated to a really amazing cupping experience by the barista, who was really eager to share more about the coffee and what they do. Unfortunately there was a language barrier, but one of their female staff who spoke great English translated for him. We didn’t manage to get their names (but we hope they see this!!)

We ended up getting one of their award-winning local beans which tasted amazing, and also got a lot of their drip coffee bags with cute cat illustrations to give as gifts. If that wasn’t great enough, they even gave us free pastries to-go (so yummy!) because they said we were their first customers from the Philippines 🥰

I’m so glad we decided to visit and could only wish we could have gone back to try more of their selections. The cafe’s vibe itself is very nice and quite different. Definitely a must-visit for coffee enthusiasts if you’re in this area...

Arrived just after lunchtime. Waitress asked me to choose a table and wait. Soon as I chose the only section of the bench which was shaded, she then told me it’s occupied and asked me to move to another table?! She looked quite serious for some reason... I don’t like little high chairs so I chose the bench which was in direct sunlight.

The owner was quite nice and helped me choose a coffee and cinnamon roll. I was satisfied with his recommendations.

Half way through my coffee I had to change table because the sun got too hot. Pity about the bench area because they are the best seats in the house. If only they had shades or sunbrellas to block out the sunlight.
